THE LAST WORD

The president went before the cameras to say he has ordered his Cabinet secretaries to cut $100 million from their budgets as a sign of solidarity with a nation that has had to take 'extraordinary steps in order to shore up our financial system.

Critics immediately jumped on Obama's $100 million cost-cutting plan as being too puny....

The good part is one of the examples the president gave of the innovative, new-wave, cutting-edge, sharp-as-a-tack, out-of-the-box thinking that one member of his Cabinet has already come up with. Janet Napolitano at the Department of Homeland Security estimates that they can save up to $52 million over five years just by purchasing office supplies in bulk, the president said proudly.

To which I say: You mean the U.S. government DOES NOT CURRENTLY BUY ITS OFFICE SUPPLIES IN BULK? What does the government do? Send a guy down to the store every time it needs a ream of copier paper?

Until Monday, did nobody in the Obama administration know that you could negotiate a little discount by buying, say, 10 million or 12 million reams at a time?

Where is Rahm? Rahm Emanuel could negotiate the spots off a leopard! Why is he not being used to his fullest capacity? Let Rahm be Rahm! OK, so he has been busy.

But has nobody in the federal government ever shopped at Costco or Sam's Club? Do they not have a pantry like I do filled with one dozen 3-pound jars of extra-crunchy peanut butter and two dozen jars of dill pickles because you can get them cheaper that way?

Hasn't buying in bulk been going on for a long time in this country? I think George Washington bought blankets in bulk for the troops at Valley Forge. Where did we lose this skill? No matter. In the future, because of Janet Napolitano ... our executive branch will buy its office supplies in bulk. Maybe Staples will even throw in a dozen free Sharpies."

Flordia Court Sets Athetist Holy Day

In Florida , an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others... The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my Client and all other atheists have no such holidays."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned.

Kidnap Victim Left In Car With Bomb Belt - UK

Police are hunting a kidnap gang who tied up and apparently tortured an Asian man before dumping him in a car in a busy city centre, surrounded by a belt of canisters which they claimed were a bomb.

A huge alert in Birmingham disrupted one of the country’s busiest railway stations and led to the evacuation of factories and workshops while army explosives experts checked out the scene.
A police helicopter hovered overhead as officers sealed off the area, closing an adventure park and offering 15 residents and workers temporary refuge in a council leisure centre.

The restrictions were eased after the man, who had been reported to be foaming at the mouth by a witness before the 500-metre cordon was imposed, was taken to hospital with a broken leg and shock.

Speaking at the scene in Saltley, the head of the inquiry, Chief Superintendent Tom Coughlan, said the victim had told officers that he was forced into the car before being told about the bomb. He said: “This incident has now become a criminal investigation. We are seeking to establish the actual nature of the device that was placed in the car.”

The canisters, the size of beer cans, were designed to hold camping gas. They have been taken for examination by the army team. Coughlan said they would be examined for any trace of explosives, but the soldiers had not had to carry out any defusing or controlled explosions.

'Who is even at the right hand of God.'-Romans 8:34

He who was once despised and rejected of men, now occupies the honourable position of a beloved and honoured Son. The right hand of God is the place of majesty and favour. Our Lord Jesus is His people's representative. When He died for them they had rest; He rose again for them, they had liberty; when He sat down at His Father's right hand, they had favour, and honour, and dignity. The raising and elevation of Christ is the elevation, the acceptance, and enshrinement, the glorifying of all His people, for He is their head and representative. This sitting at the right hand of God, then, is to be viewed as the acceptance of the person of the Surety, the reception of the Representative, and therefore, the acceptance of our souls. O saint, see in this thy sure freedom from condemnation. 'Who is he that condemneth?' Who shall condemn the men who are in Jesus at the right hand of God?

The right hand is the place of power. Christ at the right hand of God hath all power in heaven and in earth. Who shall fight against the people who have such power vested in their Captain? O my soul, what can destroy thee if Omnipotence be thy helper? If the aegis of the Almighty cover thee, what sword can smite thee? Rest thou secure. If Jesus is thine all-prevailing King, and hath trodden thine enemies beneath His feet; if sin, death, and hell are all vanquished by Him, and thou art represented in Him, by no possibility canst thou be destroyed.

'Jesu's tremendous name

Puts all our foes to flight:

Jesus, the meek, the angry Lamb,

A Lion is in fight.

'By all hell's host withstood;

We all hell's host o'erthrow;

And conquering them, through Jesu's blood

We still to conquer go.'

New Scientific Evidence That Jesus Christ Was Born In A UFO

After reading this article I now see the need for treatment. The author should be arrested for absurdity in the first degree with intent to do mental harm.

This article is not intended to make fun of religion nor be disrespectful to others beliefs but to give a possible scientific explanation to the non-scientific answers we interpret from the New Testament.

Though not partially understood till recently although the use of astronomy happens to be one of the oldest sciences, anthropologists and astronomers alike have concluded that it could be possible that the Star of Bethlehem which the Three Wise Men also known as the Magi had followed from the east could be interpreted as a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object)

The often misunderstood term 'UFO' doesn't imply to an alien spaceship like most misinformed people have been led to believe but the term was first coined by the United States Air Force in 1952 simply referring to any aerial phenomenon which cannot be immediately identified.

In the case of the 'Star' that the Magi followed, scientists now believe that the star was not only an unidentified flying object but also an alien spaceship which explains how it was able to hover over the birthplace of the Christ making it possible for the Three Kings to locate Baby Jesus.

Actual stars are massive luminous balls of plasma held together by gravity. Stars shine due to thermonuclear fusion at it's core which radiates into outer space. In order for a star, even a minimal sized star such as our sun to pinpoint an exact location on earth it would fry our entire planet as well as throw the cycle and balance of our solar system into oblivion.

During the era of Christ humans during this period were one of several types of pre-Homo Sapiens known to exist which included Cro-Magnon. This belief comes regardless of what opinions other anthropologists have on the development of human intelligence among the various races spread throughout multiple environments at different intervals within the last 30,000 years.

Yes the belief that Jesus Christ was born in a UFO conceived from a superior alien race as man had been created earlier stemming from a theory that humans evolved from the mixture of Alien and Ape within the last 100,000. For those of you who do not know of the possibilities and are so inclined to lean more towards William Jennings Bryan during the Scopes Trail, man is a Primate like no other, like it or not in more ways than one, directly related to the Gorilla, Bonobo, Orangutan, and the Chimpanzee. The Man-Ape Connection shares about 97.5-99% of the same Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA). DNA is the nucleic acid that contains the genetic instructions for the developing and functioning of living organisms as well as the blueprint or code for the instructions to construct other cells and carries the genetic information called genes. In the end you can say we are all a bunch of monkeys. One way or another.

The idea and beliefs about spaceships or aliens were considered too ridiculous and insulting to the Church which places man as a god-like creature described on the Sixth Day in The Creation "And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness...' And God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him..." (Genesis 1:26-28)

Created that such an explanation was unheard of. 30,000 to 100,000 years beforehand our ancestor's primitive brain did not begin to develop effectively till he remained safely within his cave as opposed to spending most of his time being chased by lions and bears from the frozen tundra to the Serengeti. This cave like atmosphere gave man the time necessary to build upon intelligence, getting him to think, to sway away from instinct, in further developing the mind which eventually led him to create weapons compatible or even better to that of the natural weapons of claws or teeth and the speed, strength, swimming, flying abilities of the beasts surrounding him. It just goes to show the mind is a terrible thing.

Yes the belief that Jesus Christ was born in a UFO from an advanced race which is why some believe he was so smart and the mystery of how mother Mary became impregnated by the holy spirit can now be scientifically proven by today's methods of artificial insemination. This further explains why Mary the mother of Jesus was said in the bible to have not had relations with Joseph the Carpenter when he was called upon to become the surrogate father of Baby Jesus. MATT. 1:18-2:12

When Mary was engaged to marry Joseph and before they lived together, she was impregnated with a child from the Holy Spirit. Joseph, being a righteous man, planned to dismiss her quietly, but an angel came to Joseph and told him not to be afraid because the child was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Yes Jesus Christ could have been born in a UFO during the era known as the Axis Age which describes the period from 800 B.C. to 200 B.C. when the foundation of individual thinkers within a framework of changing social environments came into existence. During this magnificent era the birth of many paradigmatic personalities came to be such as Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha), Homer, Socrates, Confucius, Zoroaster etc.. A Second Axis Age would not occur for another two thousand years later during the Age of Enlightenment with such thinkers as Renee Descartes, Baruch Spinoza, Nicolaus Copernicus, Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, etc.. and that religion today needs to return to the transformative Axial insights, in contrast, to this modern era which has been suggested as the new axial age, whereas it is actually retrograding as traditional relationships between religion, secularity, and traditional thought are changing for the worst. Man in time advances because of a few special individuals in the sciences but then peaks afterwards becoming a victim to his own vanity and greed, lusting for power in a field he did not earn but inherit.

In Christian Doctrine when one read Romans c. 56-57 in the New Testament it tells of Christ dying and rising on the third day. Then in the Ascension it holds that Jesus' body ascended to heaven in the presence of his apostles. Could it be possible that Jesus was taken away by a UFO such as an Alien spacecraft. I don't know. I wasn't around. All I can do is listen to what the priests tell me and interpret the bible which I hardly read. The use of applying science to religion sounds too far fetch to me. I just can't find a way for religion or science to coexist.

Tomorrow April 12, 2009 is Easter Sunday. As a Roman Catholic I do not celebrate Easter. I am a Catholic not a Christian. I celebrate the Holy Wars, The Spanish Inquisition, The Edict of Expulsion. I honor the Knights Templar, Knights Hospitaller, Teutonic Knights. Again I don't celebrate Easter Sunday. The UFO is about as close an explanation I can ever interpret as one of the many mysteries of Christianity unless you willing to believe that the bible was written by William Shakespeare. At least the King James version of it.

The Golfing Nun

A nun walks into Mother Superior's office and plunks down into a chair. She lets out a sigh heavy with frustration.

'What troubles you, Sister?' asked the Mother Superior. 'I thought this was the day you spent with your family.'

'It was,' sighed the Sister. 'And I went to play golf with my brother. We try to play golf as often as we can. You know I was quite a talented golfer before I devoted my life to Christ.'

'I seem to recall that,' the Mother Superior agreed. 'So I take it your day of recreation was not relaxing?'

'Far from it,' snorted the Sister. 'In fact, I even took the Lord's name in vain today!'

'Goodness, Sister!' gasped the Mother Superior, astonished. 'You must tell me all about it!'

'Well, we were on the fifth tee...and this hole is a monster, Mother -540 yard Par 5, with a nasty dogleg left and a hidden green...and I hit the drive of my life. I creamed it. The sweetest swing I ever made. And it's flying straight and true, right along the line I wanted...and it hits a bird in mid-flight !'

'Oh my!' commiserated the Mother. 'How unfortunate! But surely that didn't make you blaspheme, Sister!'

'No, that wasn't it,' admitted Sister. 'While I was still trying to fathom what had happened, this squirrel runs out of the woods, grabs my ball and runs off down the fairway!'

'Oh, that would have made me blaspheme!' sympathized the Mother.

'But I didn't, Mother!' sobbed the Sister. 'And I was so proud of myself! And while I was pondering whether this was a sign from God, this hawk swoops out of the sky and grabs the squirrel and flies off, with my ball still clutched in his paws!'

'So that's when you cursed,' said the Mother with a knowing smile.

'Nope, that wasn't it either,' cried the Sister, anguished, 'because as the hawk started to fly out of sight, the squirrel started struggling, and the hawk dropped him right there on the green, and the ball popped out of his paws and rolled to about 18 inches from the cup!'

Mother Superior sat back in her chair, folded her arms across her chest, fixed the Sister with a baleful stare and said... 'You missed the fucking putt, didn't you?'

'That through death He might destroy him that had the power of death.'-Hebrews 2:14

O child of God, death hath lost its sting, because the devil's power over it is destroyed. Then cease to fear dying. Ask grace from God the Holy Ghost, that by an intimate knowledge and a firm belief of thy Redeemer's death, thou mayst be strengthened for that dread hour. Living near the cross of Calvary thou mayst think of death with pleasure, and welcome it when it comes with intense delight. It is sweet to die in the Lord: it is a covenant-blessing to sleep in Jesus. Death is no longer banishment, it is a return from exile, a going home to the many mansions where the loved ones already dwell. The distance between glorified spirits in heaven and militant saints on earth seems great; but it is not so. We are not far from home-a moment will bring us there. The sail is spread; the soul is launched upon the deep. How long will be its voyage? How many wearying winds must beat upon the sail ere it shall be reefed in the port of peace? How long shall that soul be tossed upon the waves before it comes to that sea which knows no storm? Listen to the answer, 'Absent from the body, present with the Lord.' Yon ship has just departed, but it is already at its haven. It did but spread its sail and it was there. Like that ship of old, upon the Lake of Galilee, a storm had tossed it, but Jesus said, 'Peace, be still,' and immediately it came to land. Think not that a long period intervenes between the instant of death and the eternity of glory. When the eyes close on earth they open in heaven. The horses of fire are not an instant on the road. Then, O child of God, what is there for thee to fear in death, seeing that through the death of thy Lord its curse and sting are destroyed? and now it is but a Jacob's ladder whose foot is in the dark grave, but its top reaches to glory everlasting.

'The Amen.'-Revelation 3:14

The word AMEN solemnly confirms that which went before; and Jesus is the great Confirmer; immutable, for ever is 'the Amen' in all His promises. Sinner, I would comfort thee with this reflection. Jesus Christ said, 'Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' If you come to Him, He will say 'Amen' in your soul; His promise shall be true to you. He said in the days of His flesh, 'The bruised reed I will not break.' O thou poor, broken, bruised heart, if thou comest to Him, He will say 'Amen' to thee, and that shall be true in thy soul as in hundreds of cases in bygone years. Christian, is not this very comforting to thee also, that there is not a word which has gone out of the Saviour's lips which He has ever retracted? The words of Jesus shall stand when heaven and earth shall pass away. If thou gettest a hold of but half a promise, thou shalt find it true. Beware of him who is called 'Clip-promise,' who will destroy much of the comfort of God's word.

Jesus is Yea and Amen in all His offices. He was a Priest to pardon and cleanse once, He is Amen as Priest still. He was a King to rule and reign for His people, and to defend them with His mighty arm, He is an Amen King, the same still. He was a Prophet of old, to foretell good things to come, His lips are most sweet, and drop with honey still-He is an Amen Prophet. He is Amen as to the merit of His blood; He is Amen as to His righteousness. That sacred robe shall remain most fair and glorious when nature shall decay. He is Amen in every single title which He bears; your Husband, never seeking a divorce; your Friend, sticking closer than a brother; your Shepherd, with you in death's dark vale; your Help and your Deliverer; your Castle and your High Tower; the Horn of your strength, your confidence, your joy, your all in all, and your Yea and Amen in all.

From Jay Leno

President Obama's been reaching out to Iran, reaching out to Cuba, reaching out to Latin America. The only place he can't seem to be able to reach out to: Texas.

Despite Governor Rick Perry talking about how Texas could secede from the Union if it wanted to, 75 per cent of the people who live there want to stay in the United States. Of course they want to stay. I mean, after spending all that time and effort sneaking across the border to get here, why would they want to leave?

Amid much criticism, President Obama has released top-secret terror memos from the Bush administration. According to the memos, President Bush authorized various forms of torture, including waterboarding, sleep deprivation, and, of course, the fourth hour of the "Today" show.

It's being reported a congressional aide caught a staph infection at the congressional gym. If that's all you catch from a congressman, consider yourself lucky.

Did you even know there was a congressional gym? Have you seen your average congressman? Does Barney Frank look like he's been to the gym to you?

Lie Detector Robot

John was a salesman's delight when it came to any kind of unusual electronic gadgits.

His wife Marsha had long ago given up trying to get him to change.

One day John came home with another one of his unusual purchases. It was a robot that John claimed was actually a lie detector.

It was about 5:30 that afternoon when Tommy, their 11 year old son, returned home from school. Tommy was over 2 hours late.

"Where have you been? Why are you over 2 hours late getting home?" asked John.

"Several of us went to the library to work on an extra credit project," said Tommy.

The robot walked around the table and slapped Tommy, knocking him completely out of his chair.

"Son," said John, "this robot is a lie detector, now tell us where you really were after school."

"We went to Bobby's house and watched a movie." said Tommy.

"What did you watch?" asked Marsha.

"The Ten Commandments." answered Tommy.

The robot went around to Tommy and once again slapped him, knocking him off his chair. With his lip quivering, Tommy got up, sat down and said, "I am sorry I lied. We really watched a tape called Sex Queen."

"I am ashamed of you son," said John.. "When I was your age, I never lied to my parents."

The robot walked around to John and delivered a whack that nearly knocked him out of his chair.

Marsha doubled over in laughter, almost in tears and said, "Boy, did you ever ask for that one!

You can't be too mad with Tommy. After all, he is your son!"

The robot walked around to Marsha and knocked her out of her chair.

'We are come to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.'-Hebrews 12:24

Reader, have you come to the blood of sprinkling? The question is not whether you have come to a knowledge of doctrine, or an observance of ceremonies, or to a certain form of experience, but have you come to the blood of Jesus? The blood of Jesus is the life of all vital godliness. If you have truly come to Jesus, we know how you came-the Holy Spirit sweetly brought you there. You came to the blood of sprinkling with no merits of your own. Guilty, lost, and helpless, you came to take that blood, and that blood alone, as your everlasting hope. You came to the cross of Christ, with a trembling and an aching heart; and oh! what a precious sound it was to you to hear the voice of the blood of Jesus! The dropping of His blood is as the music of heaven to the penitent sons of earth. We are full of sin, but the Saviour bids us lift our eyes to Him, and as we gaze upon His streaming wounds, each drop of blood, as it falls, cries, 'It is finished; I have made an end of sin; I have brought in everlasting righteousness.' Oh! sweet language of the precious blood of Jesus! If you have come to that blood once, you will come to it constantly. Your life will be 'Looking unto Jesus.' Your whole conduct will be epitomized in this-'To whom coming.' Not to whom I have come, but to whom I am always coming. If thou hast ever come to the blood of sprinkling, thou wilt feel thy need of coming to it every day. He who does not desire to wash in it every day, has never washed in it at all. The believer ever feels it to be his joy and privilege that there is still a fountain opened. Past experiences are doubtful food for Christians; a present coming to Christ alone can give us joy and comfort. This morning let us sprinkle our door-post fresh with blood, and then feast upon the Lamb, assured that the destroying angel must pass us by.

What Did It Say?

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls Rush Limbaugh
and tells him, "Rush, I had a wonderful dream last night. I could
seeAmerica, the wholecountry, and on each house I saw a banner."

"What did it say on the banners?" Rush asks.

Mahmoud replies, "UNITED STATES OF IRAN."

Rush says, "You know, Mahmoud, I am really happy you called,
because believe it or not, last night I had a similar dream.
I could see all of Tehran, and it was more beautiful than ever,
and on each house flew an enormous banner."

"What did it say on the banners?" Mahmoud asks.

Rush replies, "I don't know. I can't read Hebrew."

'And his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.'-Exodus 17:12

So mighty was the prayer of Moses, that all depended upon it. The petitions of Moses discomfited the enemy more than the fighting of Joshua. Yet both were needed. No, in the soul's conflict, force and fervour, decision and devotion, valour and vehemence, must join their forces, and all will be well. You must wrestle with your sin, but the major part of the wrestling must be done alone in private with God. Prayer, like Moses', holds up the token of the covenant before the Lord. The rod was the emblem of God's working with Moses, the symbol of God's government in Israel. Learn, O pleading saint, to hold up the promise and the oath of God before Him. The Lord cannot deny His own declarations. Hold up the rod of promise, and have what you will.

Moses grew weary, and then his friends assisted him. When at any time your prayer flags, let faith support one hand, and let holy hope uplift the other, and prayer seating itself upon the stone of Israel, the rock of our salvation, will persevere and prevail. Beware of faintness in devotion; if Moses felt it, who can escape? It is far easier to fight with sin in public, than to pray against it in private. It is remarked that Joshua never grew weary in the fighting, but Moses did grow weary in the praying; the more spiritual an exercise, the more difficult it is for flesh and blood to maintain it. Let us cry, then, for special strength, and may the Spirit of God, who helpeth our infirmities, as He allowed help to Moses, enable us like him to continue with our hands steady 'until the going down of the sun;' till the evening of life is over; till we shall come to the rising of a better sun in the land where prayer is swallowed up in praise

Profiles in Arrogance

In his speech in France, Barack Obama called America "arrogant." (1) I'm sure the French loved it - And so did the liberal press.

But who is this president who calls the American people arrogant?

This is the same politician whose supporters anointed him "The One" and a candidate who boasted that his election would be remembered as "the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." (2)This is the same man who indicated his disdain for small town and working Americans when he said they "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them," while addressing a group of San Francisco caviar and champagne liberal elitists.

How arrogant is that? Arrogant enough?

In truth, President Obama seems to champion the twisted "Blame-America First" mentality of the worst of the American left.

More importantly, it shows an absence of wisdom to criticize the United States while on foreign soil, and then join with the Pelosi-Reid Democrats in Congress to do everything possible to end American exceptionalism and create a weak, dependent socialist state patterned after the examples of Europe.

*He has taken steps towards nationalizing American auto companies; firing executives while leaving in power the same Union Bosses who funded his campaign and helped cripple the U.S.'s manufacturing base.

*He has refused to let financial firms pay back taxpayer-funded bailout loans (3) so he can make them hostages to the whims of the Federal government.

*As a lawyer, Obama once sued the same financial institutions on behalf of radical groups like ACORN for failing to use leftist social engineering criteria for lending instead of an applicant's ability to repay a loan.

*He has opened up talks with Iran. Apparently, he believes he can make peace with crackpot tyrants and heartless terrorists simply by sitting down and talking.

*He campaigned on "transparency" and "integrity" in government and then has nominated a rogue gallery of tax evaders, Washington bureaucrats, and lobbyists to run his Administration.

And he has brazenly followed his chief of staff's maxim of "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste ... This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before"
(4) to cripple our free markets with massive taxation and spending that wrests away our freedoms and puts even our great-grandchildren in debt.

You know that Barack Obama's hubris and charisma conceal the inexperience and lack of wisdom that our country cannot afford in its president.

And though the teleprompter and mainstream media liberals may delay America's realization of the peril the Obama White House portends for our future for a while, the eventual failure of leftist policies and ineffective leadership will not.

GM exec says 1,600 will lose jobs in next few days

About 1,600 white-collar workers at General Motors Corp. will lose their jobs in the next few days as the troubled automaker accelerates cost cuts ....in order to qualify for more of the money the government has ripped off from taxpayer's......

GM North America President Troy Clarke said Monday in an e-mail sent from his Company Jet in route to a GM owned private resort in the Caribbean for a much needed vacation "sorry dude's but that is the way the cookie crumbles".........

The company is working closely with fast food joints, Wal-Marts, and lawn care services so it may help layed off auto workers find other jobs for up to three months, he said.

GM must cut costs and win concessions from bondholders and its unions in order to get more government aid. The government's auto task force has said the company must persuade the holders of $28 billion in GM bonds to take stock in exchange for part of the debt.

'My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?'-Psalm 22:1

We here behold the Saviour in the depth of His sorrows. No other place so well shows the griefs of Christ as Calvary, and no other moment at Calvary is so full of agony as that in which His cry rends the air-'My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?' At this moment physical weakness was united with acute mental torture from the shame and ignominy through which He had to pass; and to make His grief culminate with emphasis, He suffered spiritual agony surpassing all expression, resulting from the departure of His Father's presence. This was the black midnight of His horror; then it was that He descended the abyss of suffering. No man can enter into the full meaning of these words. Some of us think at times that we could cry, 'My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?' There are seasons when the brightness of our Father's smile is eclipsed by clouds and darkness; but let us remember that God never does really forsake us. It is only a seeming forsaking with us, but in Christ's case it was a real forsaking. We grieve at a little withdrawal of our Father's love; but the real turning away of God's face from His Son, who shall calculate how deep the agony which it caused Him?

In our case, our cry is often dictated by unbelief: in His case, it was the utterance of a dreadful fact, for God had really turned away from Him for a season. O thou poor, distressed soul, who once lived in the sunshine of God's face, but art now in darkness, remember that He has not really forsaken thee. God in the clouds is as much our God as when He shines forth in all the lustre of His grace; but since even the thought that He has forsaken us gives us agony, what must the woe of the Saviour have been when He exclaimed, 'My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?'

AGUDATH ISRAEL HAILS US STANCE ON DURBAN II

Agudath Israel of America's executive vice president, Rabbi David Zwiebel, applauded President Obama's decision that the United States not participate in "Durban II" - the so-called World Conference Against Racism taking place in Geneva. His statement is below.

"Like its 2001 predecessor, Durban II is predicated on an agenda of unjustified - indeed, at its root, racist - attack on Israel and her citizens."

Our nation's refusal to participate in this sham provided a principled example for other countries, a number of which likewise declined to participate in the gathering. It also, no doubt, played a role in emboldening dozens of diplomats to walk out today when the Iranian President, true to his image, debased the memory of the Holocaust and delivered an anti-Israel tirade.

"Durban II once again proves that a conference "against" racism can in fact be a hotbed of precisely the same. President Obama deserves credit for refusing to be taken in by this latest example of Orwellian Newspeak."

I Am An Extremist

By Oliver North
April 17, 2009

According to the U.S. government, I am an extremist. I am a Christian and meet regularly with other Christians to study God's word. My faith convinces me the prophecies in the Holy Bible are true. I believe in the sanctity of human life, oppose abortion, and want to preserve marriage as the union of a man and a woman. I am a veteran with skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. I own several firearms, and I frequently shoot them, buy ammunition, and consider efforts to infringe on my Second Amendment rights to be wrong and unconstitutional. I fervently support the sovereignty of the United States, and I am deeply concerned about our economy, increasingly higher taxes, illegal immigration, soaring unemployment, and actions by our government that will bury my children beneath a mountain of debt.

Apparently, all this makes me a "rightwing extremist." At least, that's what it says in the April 7 "Assessment" issued by the Office of Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security. The nine-page report, titled "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," is full of warnings about American citizens who share any part of my background or subscribe to the beliefs above. It is one of the most alarming documents produced by our government that I ever have read.

Evidently, neither you nor I ever was supposed to read this "Assessment." At the bottom of the cover page is a warning that it is "not to be released to the public, the media, or other personnel who do not have a valid need-to-know." We're Americans. We have a need to know what's going on in our government, especially in an administration that promised to be "transparent." A full copy of the report is posted at http://www.freedomalliance.org/.

The "Assessment" purports to alert law enforcement officials that "rightwing extremists" -- the term is used more than 35 times -- are intent on exploiting Americans who have strongly held beliefs on everything from Christian faith to rising unemployment, U.S. sovereignty and the Second Amendment. It vilifies those of us in these categories by references to neo-Nazis, racists, militias, white supremacists and other "hate groups." Notably, the report includes a warning that right-wing extremism "may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

Though the report proffers a passing reference to the First Amendment, it is replete with bias against conservative thought, writing and communications. On Page 3, law enforcement authorities are warned, "Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the (SET ITAL) perceived (END ITAL) (emphasis added) loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures."

That is a frightening acknowledgment that political speech is being monitored in America. It is also wrong. It's not "perception." It is fact. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the manufacturing and construction sectors have lost 161,000 jobs and 126,000 jobs, respectively, last month alone.

'Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him.'-Isaiah 3:10

It is well with the righteous ALWAYS. If it had said, 'Say ye to the righteous, that it is well with him in his prosperity,' we must have been thankful for so great a boon, for prosperity is an hour of peril, and it is a gift from heaven to be secured from its snares: or if it had been written, 'It is well with him when under persecution,' we must have been thankful for so sustaining an assurance, for persecution is hard to bear; but when no time is mentioned, all time is included. God's 'shalls' must be understood always in their largest sense. From the beginning of the year to the end of the year, from the first gathering of evening shadows until the day-star shines, in all conditions and under all circumstances, it shall be well with the righteous. It is so well with him that we could not imagine it to be better, for he is well fed, he feeds upon the flesh and blood of Jesus; he is well clothed, he wears the imputed righteousness of Christ; he is well housed, he dwells in God; he is well married, his soul is knit in bonds of marriage union to Christ; he is well provided for, for the Lord is his Shepherd; he is well endowed, for heaven is his inheritance. It is well with the righteous-well upon divine authority; the mouth of God speaks the comforting assurance. O beloved, if God declares that all is well, ten thousand devils may declare it to be ill, but we laugh them all to scorn. Blessed be God for a faith which enables us to believe God when the creatures contradict Him. It is, says the Word, at all times well with thee, thou righteous one; then, beloved, if thou canst not see it, let God's word stand thee in stead of sight; yea, believe it on divine authority more confidently than if thine eyes and thy feelings told it to thee. Whom God blesses is blest indeed, and what His lip declares is truth most sure and steadfast.

CCRKBA CONDEMNS ‘THEM V. US’ HOMELAND SECURITY ‘ASSESSMENT’

BELLEVUE, WA – A volatile “assessment” of so-called “Rightwing Extremism” by the Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is an insult to political conservatives, military veterans and American gun owners, and demands an immediate apology, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

“We recognize that many conservative gun owners will feel threatened by this Obama administration report,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “It appears that DHS under Janet Napolitano is trying to demonize political dissent.”

The chilling nine-page document likens citizens opposed to new firearms restrictions, returning veterans and conservatives to “rightwing extremists” and associates them with white supremacists and violent antigovernment groups.

“Every action has an equal and opposite reaction,” he continued. “We feel the appropriate reaction is through the ballot box and jury box. Conservative American citizens shouldn’t be pushed into any acts that could be exploited by the administration to further its agenda. If there are any acts of violence that occur because of the Obama Administration policy of chilling dissent, they bear the blame as much as the perpetrators.

“Anyone in the administration trying to use this technique should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” Gottlieb stated. “This administration needs to be reminded that its words and actions have consequences, and irresponsible statements, reports and actions fuel fires that are counterproductive to democracy in America.

"The authors of this assessment are pushing an ‘Us-against-Them’ philosophy,” he said. “They, along with Secretary Napolitano, owe every conservative American, every veteran and every gun owner who supports limited government an apology.“It’s ironic,” Gottlieb concluded, “that President Obama’s friend, William Ayers, is a leftwing terrorist bomber, but nothing in this report suggests monitoring his activities.”

'A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me.'-Song of Solomon 1:13

Myrrh may well be chosen as the type of Jesus on account of its preciousness, its perfume, its pleasantness, its healing, preserving, disinfecting qualities, and its connection with sacrifice. But why is He compared to 'a bundle of myrrh'? First, for plenty. He is not a drop of it, He is a casket full. He is not a sprig or flower of it, but a whole bundle. There is enough in Christ for all my necessities; let me not be slow to avail myself of Him. Our well-beloved is compared to a 'bundle' again, for variety: for there is in Christ not only the one thing needful, but in 'Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily,' everything needful is in Him. Take Jesus in His different characters, and you will see a marvellous variety-Prophet, Priest, King, Husband, Friend, Shepherd. Consider Him in His life, death, resurrection, ascension, second advent; view Him in His virtue, gentleness, courage, self-denial, love, faithfulness, truth, righteousness-everywhere He is a bundle of preciousness. He is a 'bundle of myrrh' for preservation-not loose myrrh tied up, myrrh to be stored in a casket. We must value Him as our best treasure; we must prize His words and His ordinances; and we must keep our thoughts of Him and knowledge of Him as under lock and key, lest the devil should steal anything from us. Moreover, Jesus is a 'bundle of myrrh' for speciality. The emblem suggests the idea of distinguishing, discriminating grace. From before the foundation of the world, He was set apart for His people; and He gives forth His perfume only to those who understand how to enter into communion with Him, to have close dealings with Him. Oh! blessed people whom the Lord hath admitted into His secrets, and for whom He sets Himself apart. Oh! choice and happy who are thus made to say, 'A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me.'

War Mongers From Hell

Govt. Issues Violent Right Wing Extremism WarningJudicial WatchWeeks after an official state report on militia activity classified groups that oppose abortion and illegal immigration as domestic terrorists, a separate federal government document warns against right wing extremist violence by Americans who share similar concerns. A new Homeland Security report warns of the possibility of violence by unnamed right wing extremists worried about illegal immigration, abortion, firearms restrictions, the loss of U.S. sovereignty and increasing federal power. Click Here For The Full Story......

Related:Federal Agency Warns of Radicals on RightBy Audrey Hudson / The Washington Times:The 'reprobate' Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias. A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

'The king's garden.'-Nehemiah 3:15

Mention of the king's garden by Nehemiah brings to mind the paradise which the King of kings prepared for Adam. Sin has utterly ruined that fair abode of all delights, and driven forth the children of men to till the ground, which yields thorns and briers unto them. My soul, remember the fall, for it was thy fall. Weep much because the Lord of love was so shamefully ill-treated by the head of the human race, of which thou art a member, as undeserving as any. Behold how dragons and demons dwell on this fair earth, which once was a garden of delights.

See yonder another King's garden, which the King waters with His bloody sweat-Gethsemane, whose bitter herbs are sweeter far to renewed souls than even Eden's luscious fruits. There the mischief of the serpent in the first garden was undone: there the curse was lifted from earth, and borne by the woman's promised seed. My soul, bethink thee much of the agony and the passion; resort to the garden of the olive-press, and view thy great Redeemer rescuing thee from thy lost estate. This is the garden of gardens indeed, wherein the soul may see the guilt of sin and the power of love, two sights which surpass all others.

Is there no other King's garden? Yes, my heart, thou art, or shouldst be such. How do the flowers flourish? Do any choice fruits appear? Does the King walk within, and rest in the bowers of my spirit? Let me see that the plants are trimmed and watered, and the mischievous foxes hunted out. Come, Lord, and let the heavenly wind blow at Thy coming, that the spices of Thy garden may flow abroad. Nor must I forget the King's garden of the church. O Lord, send prosperity unto it. Rebuild her walls, nourish her plants, ripen her fruits, and from the huge wilderness, reclaim the barren waste, and make thereof 'a King's garden.'

The United States of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme

Several years ago, I read a column which asked a simple question. Should paying taxes be a requirement of citizenship? In particular, It was referring to federal income taxes. If every single American expects to share in the benefits of being an American -- freedom, protection, education, etc. -- shouldn't every American be required to contribute to the cause?

Despite what people say about George W. Bush and his "tax cuts for the rich," the fact is that tax rates were lowered for every single taxpayer in America. Everyone's rate went down, and millions of people were completely removed from the income tax rolls. To me, this just isn't right. If you are going to reap the rewards and opportunities of being an American, then you have to share in the responsibilities of being an American.

'The place which is called Calvary.'-Luke 23:33

The hill of comfort is the hill of Calvary; the house of consolation is built with the wood of the cross; the temple of heavenly blessing is founded upon the riven rock-riven by the spear which pierced His side. No scene in sacred history ever gladdens the soul like Calvary's tragedy.

'Is it not strange, the darkest hour

That ever dawned on sinful earth,

Should touch the heart with softer power,

For comfort, than an angel's mirth?

That to the Cross the mourner's eye should turn,

Sooner than where the stars of Bethlehem burn?'

Light springs from the midday-midnight of Golgotha, and every herb of the field blooms sweetly beneath the shadow of the once accursed tree. In that place of thirst, grace hath dug a fountain which ever gusheth with waters pure as crystal, each drop capable of alleviating the woes of mankind. You who have had your seasons of conflict, will confess that it was not at Olivet that you ever found comfort, not on the hill of Sinai, nor on Tabor; but Gethsemane, Gabbatha, and Golgotha have been a means of comfort to you. The bitter herbs of Gethsemane have often taken away the bitters of your life; the scourge of Gabbatha has often scourged away your cares, and the groans of Calvary yields us comfort rare and rich. We never should have known Christ's love in all its heights and depths if He had not died; nor could we guess the Father's deep affection if He had not given His Son to die. The common mercies we enjoy all sing of love, just as the sea-shell, when we put it to our ears, whispers of the deep sea whence it came; but if we desire to hear the ocean itself, we must not look at every-day blessings, but at the transactions of the crucifixion. He who would know love, let him retire to Calvary and see the Man of sorrows die.

UFO News: Nicely Done Newsweak

It's easy to make people look idiotic; after all, 73 percent of Americans supported the invasion of Iraq in 2003. So the stunt pulled off by 20-something wags Joe Rudy and Chris Russo can't be called a public service. What it does do is illuminate (as if we actually needed more data) the weird schizoid nature of media bias in the UFO arena.

Over a five-day stretch in January and February, in a stated "mission to help people think rationally and question the credibility of so-called UFO professionals", the New Jersey residents dispatched trains of balloons and flares into the night sky near Morristown.

They shot their own footage, then sat back as local TV stations lapped it up like housecats. Local 911 dispatchers got a handful of calls and another family videotaped it, too. In an effort to keep the hoax going, Russo lied to a News 12 TV crew in rejecting police suspicions that it was flares: "From what we saw? No way - the way they were moving around. I mean, they zipped over our car."

TV anchors who've likely never filed a Freedom of Information Act against the feds for UFO data were absolutely charmed by these featureless nocturnal blobs of light. With an assist from Fox News, the story went national, and the biggest dupe - perhaps not surprisingly - was Bill Birnes.

Given the unfiltered credulous slop that too often permeates his UFO Magazine, Birnes was always something of a bird waiting for a windshield. Ironically, UFO Hunters, his springboard into The History Channel's prime-time rotation, appeared to have elevated its game this season following a desultory debut last year. But after analyzing the Morristown flap, UFO Hunters took the bait: "Police say the unidentified flying object was nothing more than flares - a theory that UFO Hunters has already tested and proven implausible."On April Fool's Day, Rudy and Russo howled about their well-documented coup at:

http://www.skeptic.com/eskeptic/09-04-01.html

What's actually more revealing is how, within hours, Newsweek was the first to cheerlead the caper for its novel approach to promoting critical thinking. "Nicely done, guys," wrote Sharon Begley for the magazine's Web page.

Never mind how, two days later, Morris County prosecutor Robert Bianchi considered the aviation-safety implications of what they'd done and pressed disorderly person charges against the champions of critical thinking. They could've gotten away with it if they'd just kept their pie holes shut. "If there is a single word to describe this," said Biachi, "it is in essence stupidity."

A better question might be: What's up at Newsweek?

On 1/18/08, soon after the Stephenville, Tex., UFO incident, editors allowed Charles Euchner, a "lecturer in English at Yale," to ascribe the sightings - which witnesses also said included pursuit by jet fighters - to delusions brought on by collective sleep deprivation.

A few days later, the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve base in Fort Worth reversed its earlier denial and admitted it had F-16s in the air over Stephenville that night. No mention of the UFO by the Air Force, of course.

On the other hand, we're still waiting for Newsweek to tell us how sleep-deprivation victims managed to see those F-16s.

'I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me.'-Psalm 23:4

Behold, how independent of outward circumstances the Holy Ghost can make the Christian! What a bright light may shine within us when it is all dark without! How firm, how happy, how calm, how peaceful we may be, when the world shakes to and fro, and the pillars of the earth are removed! Even death itself, with all its terrible influences, has no power to suspend the music of a Christian's heart, but rather makes that music become more sweet, more clear, more heavenly, till the last kind act which death can do is to let the earthly strain melt into the heavenly chorus, the temporal joy into the eternal bliss! Let us have confidence, then, in the blessed Spirit's power to comfort us. Dear reader, are you looking forward to poverty? Fear not; the divine Spirit can give you, in your want, a greater plenty than the rich have in their abundance. You know not what joys may be stored up for you in the cottage around which grace will plant the roses of content. Are you conscious of a growing failure of your bodily powers? Do you expect to suffer long nights of languishing and days of pain? O be not sad! That bed may become a throne to you. You little know how every pang that shoots through your body may be a refining fire to consume your dross-a beam of glory to light up the secret parts of your soul. Are the eyes growing dim? Jesus will be your light. Do the ears fail you? Jesus' name will be your soul's best music, and His person your dear delight. Socrates used to say, 'Philosophers can be happy without music;' and Christians can be happier than philosophers when all outward causes of rejoicing are withdrawn. In Thee, my God, my heart shall triumph, come what may of ills without! By thy power, O blessed Spirit, my heart shall be exceeding glad, though all things should fail .

Check the 3rd paragraph.....

you may be a potential domestic terrorest if you are concern about high prices. Give me a break! What else will the SPLC/ADL spew out?

ALIPAC is issuing a national advisory to all local, state, and Federal law enforcement agencies and officers, along with all DHS Fusion Centers, a warning against any reliance upon faulty and politicized research issued by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and Anti Defamation League (ADL).

A national scandal emerged in Missouri, after their MIAC Fusion Center issued an eight page document which made many false claims. The documents attempted to politicize police and cast suspicion on millions of Americans. The 'Missouri Documents', as they came to be called, listed over 32 characteristics police should watch for as signs or links to domestic terrorists, which could threaten police officers, court officials, and infrastructure targets. Police were instructed to look for Americans who were concerned about unemployment, taxes, illegal immigration, gangs, border security, abortion, high costs of living, gun restrictions, FEMA, the IRS, The Federal Reserve, and the North American Union/SPP/North American Community. The 'Missouri Documents' also said potential domestic terrorists might like gun shows, short wave radios, combat movies, movies with white male heroes, Tom Clancey Novels, and Presidential Candidates Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and Chuck Baldwin!

The Southern Poverty Law Center was cited as a research source for the 'Missouri Documents'. Furthermore, the attempt of these documents to cast suspicion of violent and life threatening behavior on millions of Americans who are concerned about these issues is consistent with the regularly released political materials of both the SPLC and ADL.

'Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord.'-Isaiah 2:3

It is exceedingly beneficial to our souls to mount above this present evil world to something nobler and better. The cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches are apt to choke everything good within us, and we grow fretful, desponding, perhaps proud and carnal. It is well for us to cut down these thorns and briers, for heavenly seed sown among them is not likely to yield a harvest; and where shall we find a better sickle with which to cut them down than communion with God and the things of the kingdom? In the valleys of Switzerland many of the inhabitants are deformed, and all wear a sickly appearance, for the atmospher e is charged with miasma, and is close and stagnant; but up yonder, on the mountain, you find a hardy race, who breathe the clear fresh air as it blows from the virgin snows of the Alpine summits. It would be well if the dwellers in the valley could frequently leave their abodes among the marshes and the fever mists, and inhale the bracing element upon the hills. It is to such an exploit of climbing that I invite you this evening. May the Spirit of God assist us to leave the mists of fear and the fevers of anxiety, and all the ills which gather in this valley of earth, and to ascend the mountains of anticipated joy and blessedness. May God the Holy Spirit cut the cords that keep us here below, and assist us to mount! We sit too often like chained eagles fastened to the rock, only that, unlike the eagle, we begin to love our chain, and would, perhaps, if it came really to the test, be loath to have it snapped. May God now grant us grace, if we cannot escape from the chain as to our f lesh, yet to do so as to our spirits; and leaving the body, like a servant, at the foot of the hill, may our soul, like Abraham, attain the top of the mountain, there to indulge in communion with the Most High.

'It is time to seek the Lord.'-Hosea 10:12

This month of April is said to derive its name from the Latin verb aperio, which signifies to open, because all the buds and blossoms are now opening, and we have arrived at the gates of the flowery year. Reader, if you are yet unsaved, may your heart, in accord with the universal awakening of nature, be opened to receive the Lord. Every blossoming flower warns you that it is time to seek the Lord; be not out of tune with nature, but let your heart bud and bloom with holy desires. Do you tell me that the warm blood of youth leaps in your veins? then, I entreat you, give your vigour to the Lord. It was my unspeakable happiness to be called in early youth, and I could fain praise the Lord every day for it. Salvation is priceless, let it come when it may, but oh! an early salvation has a double value in it. Young men and maidens, since you may perish ere you reach your prime, 'It is time to seek the Lord.' Ye who feel the first signs of decay, quicken your pace: that hollow cough, that hectic flush, are warnings which you must not trifle with; with you it is indeed time to seek the Lord. Did I observe a little grey mingled with your once luxurious tresses? Years are stealing on apace, and death is drawing nearer by hasty marches, let each return of spring arouse you to set your house in order. Dear reader, if you are now advanced in life, let me entreat and implore you to delay no longer. There is a day of grace for you now-be thankful for that, but it is a limited season and grows shorter every time that clock ticks. Here in this silent chamber, on this first night of another month, I speak to you as best I can by paper and ink, and from my inmost soul, as God's servant, I lay before you this warning, 'It is time to seek the Lord.' Slight not that work, it may be your last call from destruction, the final syllable from the lip of grace.

Obama: Lying Will Make Us Richer

You can't miss Peter Schiff, who leads off the Sunday edition of LRC. Writes Peter: "When elementary school kids want to escape the confines of their circumstances they pretend to be pirates, princesses, and Jedi knights. Now, with the relaxation of "mark to market" valuation rules announced yesterday by the accounting trade's self-regulatory body, our bankrupt financial institutions can escape their own reality by pretending to be solvent. The unraveling of our fairytale economy over the last few months has not yet convinced us that the time has come to put away childish things. The applause that greeted the news yesterday on Wall Street is a clear sign that we still have some growing up to do." Read the rest.

'With His stripes we are healed.'-Isaiah 53:5

Pilate delivered our Lord to the lictors to be scourged. The Roman scourge was a most dreadful instrument of torture. It was made of the sinews of oxen, and sharp bones were inter-twisted every here and there among the sinews; so that every time the lash came down these pieces of bone inflicted fearful laceration, and tore off the flesh from the bone. The Saviour was, no doubt, bound to the column, and thus beaten. He had been beaten before; but this of the Roman lictors was probably the most severe of His flagellations. My soul, stand here and weep over His poor stricken body.
Believer in Jesus, can you gaze upon Him without tears, as He stands before you the mirror of agonizing love? He is at once fair as the lily for innocence, and red as the rose with the crimson of His own blood. As we feel the sure and blessed healing which His stripes have wrought in us, does not our heart melt at once with love and grief? If ever we have loved our Lord Jesus, surely we must feel that affection glowing now within our bosoms.

'See how the patient Jesus stands,

Insulted in His lowest case!

Sinners have bound the Almighty's hands,

And spit in their Creator's face.

With thorns His temples gor'd and gash'd

Send streams of blood from every part;

His back's with knotted scourges lash'd.

But sharper scourges tear His heart.'

We would fain go to our chambers and weep; but since our business calls us away, we will first pray our Beloved to print the image of His bleeding self upon the tablets of our hearts all the day, and at nightfall we will return to commune with Him, and sorrow that our sin should have cost Him so dear.

UFOS: The Galileo Factor

By Joseph Capp

A significantly advanced ET technology would look like magic…
but would they act like magic... intentionally?

You know what really p***es me off?

When self-righteous scientists and debunkers claim that, if they
had a chance to see some quote real, unquote, evidence on UFOs,
they would be fighting each other in their race to get the first
look.

But the truth is, they don't want to see.

The righteous debunkers and scientists are just like the Dark
Ages clergy who were confronted by Galileo. All the outraged
Church's agents of the Dark Ages had to do was look and they
would see. But to those True Believers, no matter what the sky
showed them, the universe must be literally what their one-track
religion said it should be, and that was the end of it.

We still have an uneven playing field out there in Science Land.
The Spirit of Scientific Inquiry is not really practiced today
by many mainstream science practitioners and information
distillers. What is widely practiced is bowing low to The Spirit
of Government Grant Renewal, and the unfortunate, irrational
worship of Establishment Science.

Scientists make the bald-faced claim aliens don't exist, even
though there's a case to be made that scientists are aliens
themselves, living on a planet full of aliens, exploring space
beyond their host world.

We also can make an argument of "absolute nonsense" when this
group worshippers of establishment scientist make public
proclamation of how intelligent ETs should and would not behave.
Dismissing the existence of ETs because they act like magic and
don't live up to our standards of behavior is funny when you
think of it. Yeah, we laugh at their irrational claims, but we
keep letting scientists and debunkers get away with it.

It is a sad state of affairs when ridicule, fear and persecution
are orchestrated not by religious fanatics and their dogma, but
by scientists.

worked hard and paid his dues. But Chuck was part of a town that
was never given its due by the media, the debunkers, and even
some UFO researchers: Roswell.

Chuck and others came forward to say what they found could be
the real UFO beef everyone's been waiting for, but their pleas
for proper inquiry were largely ignored.

And this highlights another major conflict in the UFO truth
quest: a class of witnesses we should pay special attention to,
the aptly yet sadly group known as Death Bed Witnesses. These
Americans about to meet the God they believe in, feel it is
essential to clear their hearts of a terrible burden and tell
their families of a secret they were sworn by their government
to not divulge.

Why don't we give the death bed testimonials of UFO witnesses
the respect and evidentiary consideration they merit? These
witnesses have nothing to gain on this earth by coming forward,
no book tour, no TV interview, no time to build a McMansion or
squander a giant media fee on the roulette wheels in Vegas…yet
we fail ourselves and humanity's future when we denigrate the
death bed testimonials.

The special burden of the deathbed witnesses is a burden they
swore to keep, and most witnesses took their official oaths of
secrecy so seriously, they never shared their testimony or
evidence with spouses, much less UFO researchers. Yet the death
bed witnesses' burden was the most fantastic news ever shared
with humankind: the news that we are not alone in the Universe.

Among these confessions was the first-hand truth about how a
ship from space crashed in Corona with little creatures aboard.

Just as with all of the more startling UFO information cases,
except for some initial sensationalism, the Roswell-Corona
witnesses barely get a yawn from all but the pro-Roswell
factions among UFO researchers.

DVD Clip Intelligen Flares All Over The World!

Of course we also get the slight-of-hand distraction from the
debunkers, but they're singing to the nothings-true-till-we-say-
so choir.

So again, let's remember with gratitude Chuck Wade and others,
who took precious days out of their retired lives, days where
most retirees are playing golf, traveling, or taking the
grandkids to the big game, to seek an answer for the rest of us.

Chuck's predecessor Art Campbell after decades of trying to put
the pieces together on a certain UFO crash site finally mapped
out where witness testimony said the crash material would be.
Campbell dug, and he found - in the middle of nowhere - an
aluminum pieces and other material that should not be. His work
in this debris field is known in UFO history as the San Augusta
crash site. Chuck eventually joined him and now we have
promising investigation with no ending.

The aluminum was a composite material they found was not made by
any commercial manufacturer. As an aluminum compositionally it
didn't even make any sense. Throughout the structure of this
particular aluminum sample were iron and silica. The sample's
heavy metal - iron - should have sunk by its own weight to the
bottom of the aluminum during manufacture, according to the laws
of good old gravity. But no, there it was, latticed throughout
the host metal.

Testing showed this material deserved further inquiry. But what
the owner of the sample got was just a superficial analyses.
Case Closed?

What you don't know is that when I was putting together the
posts "Has Roswell Evidence Finally Emerged?" Parts 1 and 2, I'd
hoped this case's material evidence was testing out Positive:
Not Of Earth Manufacture.

My experience with this material came about at the International
UFO Congress. I kept bugging a good friend to come with me to a
UFO conference. He works for a top company in the nano-tech
field. My friend had personal experience with UFOs - what he
describes as his most astounding - after we met. He had called
me from the car after the incident, where, along with his whole
family, he had witnessed the "craft". So he came to the Congress
with a new level of interest. At the Congress, witness Chuck
Wade was being interviewed by overseas meida shows, and also,
Joshua Warren a skeptic but a strong advocate for further
testing on Chuck's artifacts included in his Presentation on
"Physically Faking UFOs", included the peculiar behavior in a
electrostat of the material Chuck supplied him. Warren announced
he be would testing the material on a deeper level because of
this experience.

Chuck Wade was not hesitant in offering the samples to the
researchers he knew could really help get the puzzle of the UFO
crash field metal sample solved. Chuck won my respect right away
with that attitude. My friend - with the nano-tech lab - also
believed Chuck Wade was for real, whatever the outcome of the
crash field metal. So with a little prodding on my part, my
buddy had some pieces shipped to him. Because of the depressed
economy, my friend's company wasn't overbooked; they had the
time to run complete tests.

We all knew, that given this company's prestige, if they took
the field metal analysis on, the answer would be definitive.

At first it looked very promising. My friend showed a sample to
his peers and they seemed interested. Sample fragments in hand
now, they wanted to look at past test results. After they review
the earlier lab results, further tests seemed to be
greenlighted. I was very pleased with the way it was turning
out.

But someone at the company with the final authority shot it
down. Maybe the decision not to test the material wasn't the
latest scandal in a big conspiracy… maybe it's just the ongoing
business as usual vis-a-vis anything connected with the UFO
subject.

However, we still have the intrepid investigator, young Joshua
P. Warren, continuing with his own effort to get this material
analyzed by a recognized facility. We should all be grateful for
Warren's foresight and integrity. I thank my friend from the
nano-lab, too, for going the extra mile, while thousands stand
by and do... nothing.

But this is not the end of the line for me on Chuck Wade and Art
Campbell's samples. I intend to continue promoting this evidence
and have it looked at by real scientists, not the talking heads
of science. I refuse to just move on, as others in the community
seem all too willing to do.

And there are real scientists out there; some of the people at
my friend's company fit that bill, even encased as they are
within the prison of the corporate and science establishment's
stale mindset their curiousty was inticed.

Someday soon I hope to help write the final chapter on Campbell
and Chuck Wade's testimony and material. But "Evidence" Part 3,
will have to wait.

I believe right now the UFO question is about to be settled and
we will be right... not because we are so insightfull, but
because we have witnessed. And what many of us have witnessed
including some men who have gone into space is like nothing we
have on here earth.

'He was numbered with the transgressors.'-Isaiah 53:12

Why did Jesus suffer Himself to be enrolled amongst sinners? This wonderful condescension was justified by many powerful reasons. In such a character He could the better become their advocate. In some trials there is an identification of the counsellor with the client, nor can they be looked upon in the eye of the law as apart from one another. Now, when the sinner is brought to the bar, Jesus appears there Himself. He stands to answer the accusation. He points to His side, His hands, His feet, and challenges Justice to bring anything against the sinners whom He represents; He pleads His blood, and pleads so triumphantly, being numbered with them and having a part with them, that the Judge proclaims, 'Let them go their way; deliver them from going down into the pit, for He hath found a ransom.' Our Lord Jesus was numbered with the transgressors in order that they might feel their hearts drawn towards Him. Who can be afraid of one who is written in the same list with us? Surely we may come boldly to Him, and confess our guilt. He who is numbered with us cannot condemn us. Was He not put down in the transgressor's list that we might be written in the red roll of the saints? He was holy, and written among the holy; we were guilty, and numbered among the guilty; He transfers His name from yonder list to this black indictment, and our names are taken from the indictment and written in the roll of acceptance, for there is a complete transfer made between Jesus and His people. All our estate of misery and sin Jesus has taken; and all that Jesus has comes to us. His righteousness, His blood, and everything that He hath He gives us as our dowry. Rejoice, believer, in your union to Him who was numbered among the transgressors; and prove that you are truly saved by being manifestly numbered with those who are new creatures in Him.

THE CRIMINALIZATION OF EVERYDAY LIFE

By Robert Neuwirth

"
Are anyone's days entirely free of "offenses" that can get you arrested?"

I spent 24 hours in the slammer the other day. My crime? Well, the police couldn't tell me when they locked me up. The prosecutor and judge couldn't either, when I was arraigned the following day. I found out for myself when I researched the matter a few days after being released: I had been cited for walking my dog off the leash – once, six years ago.

Welcome to the ugly underside of the zero-tolerance era, where insignificant rule violations get inflated into criminal infractions. Here's how it worked with me: a gaggle of transit cops stopped me after they saw me walk between two subway cars on my way to work.

This, they told me, was against the rules. They asked for ID and typed my name into a hand-held computer. Up came that old citation that I didn't know about and they couldn't tell me about. I was immediately handcuffed and brought to the precinct. There, I waited in a holding cell, then was fingerprinted (post-CSI memo: they now take the fingers, the thumbs, the palms, and the sides of both hands) and had the contents of my shoulder bag inventoried. I could hardly believe it: I was being arrested without ever having committed a crime.

I was held overnight in the Midtown North Precinct lock-up (shoelaces and belt confiscated, meals courtesy of the McDonald's dollar menu). In the morning, my fellow convicts and I were led, chain-gang style, to the Manhattan Community Court next door. The judge there dismissed the charge against me – because no one ever does time for that kind of crime. A few days later, at Brooklyn's central court, my warrant was lifted for "time served" – again because no one is ever locked up for breaking the leash law.

If the cops had simply written me a ticket, I would have paid it, and I would have also had to pay to vacate my outstanding warrant. But by cuffing me and holding me overnight, the city spent quite a bit of money (it took two police officers approximately six hours each just to arrest and process me), while the fines assessed against me were rescinded.

While I was inside, I was astounded by the kinds of things that take up police and court time. A couple of people nabbed for being in various parks after dark. One of them was walking his dog. Two young men accused of riding their bicycles on the sidewalk.

Three people arrested for sleeping in a subway station. My roommate in the lock-up was an articulate and self-aware 60-year-old whose sin was that he bought a bottle of booze and had taken a swig on the street. In the cell next to us: two costumed Mariachis busted for busking on the subway. They were repeat offenders. Their weapons: a guitar and an accordion.

With zero tolerance, we have finally done it: We have criminalized everyday life. After all, in the course of their life people sometimes ride their bikes on the sidewalks. And once upon a time not too long ago, it was normal to go into the parks after dark. My friends and I did all the time, particularly if we had time to kill before or after the opera, the symphony, or a jazz or rock concert. We walked brazenly between subway cars. Some of us even – horror of horrors! – played music on the street or in the subway without a license.

And, though my parents would not be happy to know it even now, we sometimes drank beer in public – making sure, in an important but legally meaningless gesture, that the bottle was in a paper bag. If I did any of this on a regular basis today, I'd probably be considered a behavioral recidivist and sent to Riker's Island.

I can laugh away my time in a cell—my life suddenly turned into an update of "Alice's Restaurant." But I get angry when I think of kids in their teens or 20s being treated the way I was. I'm not against hard time for criminal, violent or anti-social behavior. But slapping young people behind bars and giving them an arrest record simply because the normal things they do are trivial rule violations is not only wasteful, it's downright criminal.

'The love of Christ which passeth knowledge.'-Ephesians 3:19

The love of Christ in its sweetness, its fulness, its greatness, its faithfulness, passeth all human comprehension. Where shall language be found which shall describe His matchless, His unparalleled love towards the children of men? It is so vast and boundless that, as the swallow but skimmeth the water, and diveth not into its depths, so all descriptive words but touch the surface, while depths immeasurable lie beneath. Well might the poet say,

'O love, thou fathomless abyss!'

for this love of Christ is indeed measureless and fathomless; none can attain unto it. Before we can have any right idea of the love of Jesus, we must understand His previous glory in its height of majesty, and His incarnation upon the earth in all its depths of shame. But who can tell us the majesty of Christ? When He was enthroned in the highest heavens He was very God of very God; by Him were the heavens made, and all the hosts thereof. His own almighty arm upheld the spheres; the praises of cherubim and seraphim perpetually surrounded Him; the full chorus of the hallelujahs of the universe unceasingly flowed to the foot of his throne: He reigned supreme above all His creatures, God over all, blessed for ever. Who can tell His height of glory then? And who, on the other hand, can tell how low He descended? To be a man was something, to be a man of sorrows was far more; to bleed, and die, and suffer, these were much for Him who was the Son of God; but to suffer such unparalleled agony-to endure a death of shame and desertion by His Father, this is a depth of condescending love which the most inspired mind must utterly fail to fathom. Herein is love! and truly it is love that 'passeth knowledge.' O let this love fill our hearts with adoring gratitude, and lead us to practical manifestations of its power.

Hunters Rescue Stranded Elk

Hunters in Wyoming rescue a cow elk stranded in a icy hole in a stream. After she nearly tramples the hunters, she confounds them with her actions that follow. Video courtesy Elk Foundation Life Member Ron Niziolek.

Ron's story behind the video:
I thought I’d share a pretty cool experience that happened while elk hunting with my family over the New Year holidays. My son Nick is home on leave from the Air Force and my brother Riff and his family came over from Oregon. My nephew Sam is also home on leave from Iraq. Sam, Nick and I had late cow tags.

Sam and Riff were out scouting for us around Cody a couple days before the end of the season when they spotted an elk head sticking out of the ice in a creek. Closer inspection revealed what they thought was a calf elk stuck in a massive hole in the ice. It appeared to have been there awhile but seemed nervous, so they didn’t approach too close.

They came back to town and picked up my nephew Kevin, Nick and me. We gathered up some rope and an ice bar in the hopes we could do something to save it. If not, one of us would use our tag and not let the meat go to waste.

When we got to the elk, we could see its ears above the ice. As we approached, she disappeared. The hole was 6 feet deep with a couple feet of water. She was a full-grown cow, and we decided to rope her up and yank her out.

Sam lay prone on the ice right above the elk, while I anchored myself and held his feet to keep him from sliding in with her. He slowly leaned out and down with his 40-foot lariat and did his best to talk reassuringly to her. Sam got the loop around her neck with ease and managed to do so without her thrashing at all.

As they started to pull her up, she began to lunge and kick. After awhile she popped out, and with the slack in the line all the guys fell over backwards with the elk still coming at them. The elk had more energy than we anticipated, and it was quite a sight watching my brother and nephew get run over and stepped on. Now we had a wild elk running and bucking and pulling Sam around. Nothing like some good old redneck Wyoming boys having fun! Seriously, we never really got that far in our thinking to figure how to get the rope off the elk once it was out.

She ended up spinning around and running back down on the ice. She gained her footing, looked at us briefly, then jumped willingly back into her hole. I think she felt safe down there. She stood looking at us with the rope still around her neck and Sam still attached to the other end. You could read it in her eyes: “You guys are really stupid.” Right about then, the guys felt like shooting her. Riff had a big hoof print on his knee and was quite upset that we were back where we started. My friend Jim showed up and thought maybe we could tie another rope on the first one at the loop (referred to as a honda). When we got the elk up again, he would pull on the new rope and get some slack on the first one.

For this round, the guys braced themselves and started pulling. She didn’t fight or help too much. It took about two full minutes to get her up and pulled 20 yards from the hole. Sam was able to talk to her, hold her head and get the ropes off. She mewed a few times, lifted her head, then barked and got to her feet. After a few wobbly steps she was off at a trot for the mountains. We watched her for about a half mile until she disappeared over a ridge. With our sick sense of humor we were expecting to hear rifle shots from the other side. That would be just our luck. It’s a family memory that will last forever. I want to say thanks to my son and two nephews and everyone else who is proudly serving in our armed forces. God bless.
