Saints, Colts Hoping To Resolve Super Bowl Through Diplomacy

MIAMI—Team officials from the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts emerged from a tense, 12-hour negotiating session Thursday and told reporters that, while they had yet to reach a settlement that would prevent a massive on-field conflict, the AFC and NFC champions were committed to resolving the Super Bowl through diplomatic channels.

"Playing this Super Bowl is our last resort," said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who was flanked by the coaches and quarterbacks for the opposing teams. "Yes, there are some difficult issues that need to be hashed out, such as who will be the game's MVP, the number of total passing yards for each quarterback, and which team will be named Super Bowl champion, but I think we made progress today."

"The Colts and the Saints are unwavering in their commitment to avoid any violence and wish to resolve the Super Bowl peacefully, without a single football being thrown," Goodell added.

Muslim's Rich American Heritage

THE MOOOOOSELEMS

In response to Mr. Obama's speech. I don't see where the Muslim people were on our side of the fence any where around.

Barack OBAMA, in his Cairo speech, said: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America's story."

AN AMERICAN CITIZEN'S RESPONSE:

Dear Mr. Obama:
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.

Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.

Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution? The Declaration of Independence? How about the Bill of Rights? No, I didn't think so.

Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England? No.

Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. Your own half brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as "pug nosed slaves." Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family's "rich Islamic heritage," doesn't it Mr. Obama?

Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present.

There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.

Where were Muslims during this country's Woman's Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the 'hajib' or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women's rights, aren't they?

Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi's in killing Jews.

Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East. No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day.

Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims who's asses you were kissing in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.

And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America.

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslim.

And now we can add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That, Mr. Obama is the "Muslim heritage" in America.

Socialized Healthcare At Work

Baby Isaiah given 3 days to live by government.

Isaiah James May was born a little after 5 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2009, and was scheduled to die this past week – on Wednesday, Jan. 20 – just short of his three-month birthday.

That was the day chosen by Canada's publicly funded, government health service as the deadline for Isaiah to recover from his traumatic birth or be taken off life-support.

He's won a reprieve ... but for how long? Read Online.

Early Humans Finally Drunk Enough To Invent Dancing

Prominent ethnochoreologists now believe that roughly 20,000 years ago, early humans finally consumed an amount of fermented fruits and vegetables staggering enough to develop the impulsive series of rhythmic movements known today as dancing.

"While human beings had experimented with rudimentary forms of shimmying and gyration as early as the Neanderthal period, it was not until they were able to reach critical levels of utter inebriation that early cultures finally began to let their hair down and really cut loose," said Yu Wei Lin of the Beijing Institute of Dance Studies. "In fact, we now believe that alcohol-fueled revelry paralleled and probably influenced the practice of the ill-advised hookup, the rambling apology for the previous night's behavior, and poetry."

Lin also said that exciting new evidence indicates that a prehistoric "Electric Slide" was practiced in Tibet millennia before the invention of electricity.

Daniel 9:26

The Messiah shall be cut off, but not for himself.

Blessed be his name, there was no cause of death in him. Neither original nor actual sin had defiled him, and therefore death had no claim upon him. No man could have taken his life from him justly, for he had done no man wrong, and no man could even have lain him by force unless he had been pleased to yield himself to die. But lo, one sins and another suffers. Justice was offended by us, but found its satisfaction in him. Rivers of tears, mountains of offerings, seas of the blood of bullocks, and hills of frankincense, could not have availed for the removal of sin; but Jesus was cut off for us, and the cause of wrath was cut off at once, for sin was put away for ever. Herein is wisdom, whereby substitution, the sure and speedy way of atonement, was devised! Herein is condescension, which brought Messiah, the Prince, to wear a crown of thorns, and die upon the cross! Herein is love, which led the Redeemer to lay down his life for his enemies!

It is not enough, however, to admire the spectacle of the innocent bleeding for the guilty, we must make sure of our interest therein. The special object of the Messiah's death was the salvation of his church; have we a part and a lot among those for whom he gave his life a ransom? Did the Lord Jesus stand as our representative? Are we healed by his stripes? It will be a terrible thing indeed if we should come short of a portion in his sacrifice; it were better for us that we had never been born. Solemn as the question is, it is a joyful circumstance that it is one which may be answered clearly and without mistake. To all who believe on him the Lord Jesus is a present Saviour, and upon them all the blood of reconciliation has been sprinkled. Let all who trust in the merit of Messiah's death be joyful at every remembrance of him, and let their holy gratitude lead them to the fullest consecration to his cause.

Dem's Get Their Ass's Kicked In Massachusetts

That Old Obama Magic Is Back
By: Ann Coulter

Once again, the people have spoken, and this time they quoted what Dick Cheney said to Pat Leahy.

Less than two weeks ago, The New York Times said that so much as a "tighter-than-expected" victory for Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley would incite "soul-searching among Democrats nationally," which sent Times readers scurrying to their dictionaries to look up this strange new word, "soul."

A close win for Coakley, the Times said, would constitute "the first real barometer of whether problems facing the party" will affect the 2010 elections.

But when Coakley actually lost the election by an astounding 5 points, the Chicago boys in the White House decided it was the chick's fault.

Democratic candidate Martha Coakley may be a moral monster, but it's ridiculous to blame her for losing the election. She lost because of the Democrats' obsession with forcing national health care down the nation's throat.

Coakley campaigned exactly the way she should have.

As a Democrat running in a special election for a seat that had been held by a Democratic icon (and another moral monster) for the past 46 years in a state with only 12 percent registered Republicans, Coakley's objective was to have voters reading the paper on Friday, saying: "Hey, honey, did you know there was a special election four days ago? Yeah, apparently Coakley won, though it was a pretty low turnout."

Ideally, no one except members of government unions and Coakley's immediate family would have even been aware of the election.

And until Matt Drudge began covering it like a presidential election a week ago, it might have turned out that way. Continue reading>>>

Psalm 109:4

But I give myself unto prayer.

Lying tongues were busy against the reputation of David, but he did not defend himself; he moved the case into a higher court, and pleaded before the great King himself. Prayer is the safest method of replying to words of hatred. The Psalmist prayed in no cold-hearted manner, he gave himself to the exercise--threw his whole soul and heart into it--straining every sinew and muscle, as Jacob did when wrestling with the angel. Thus, and thus only, shall any of us speed at the throne of grace. As a shadow has no power because there is no substance in it, even so that supplication, in which a man's proper self is not thoroughly present in agonizing earnestness and vehement desire, is utterly ineffectual, for it lacks that which would give it force. Fervent prayer, says an old divine, like a cannon planted at the gates of heaven, makes them fly open. The common fault with the most of us is our readiness to yield to distractions. Our thoughts go roving hither and thither, and we make little progress towards our desired end. Like quicksilver our mind will not hold together, but rolls off this way and that. How great an evil this is! It injures us, and what is worse, it insults our God. What should we think of a petitioner, if, while having an audience with a prince, he should be playing with a feather or catching a fly?

Continuance and perseverance are intended in the expression of our text. David did not cry once, and then relapse into silence; his holy clamour was continued till it brought down the blessing. Prayer must not be our chance work, but our daily business, our habit and vocation. As artists give themselves to their models, and poets to their classical pursuits, so must we addict ourselves to prayer. We must be immersed in prayer as in our element, and so pray without ceasing. Lord, teach us so to pray that we may be more and more prevalent in supplication.

Dearbornistan Muslim Arab Students’ Sweatshirts Glorify 9/11

By Debbie Schlussel

As I’ve told you over and over again, despite their declared “condemnations” of the 9/11 attacks, Muslims all over America praised and cheered the mass murder of nearly 3,000 Americans. Last week, I told you about how four Muslim Arab employees cheered at a Ford engineering plant high-fived, cheered, and laughed at the 9/11 attacks, and got to keep their jobs for three years thereafter.

This week, it’s fifteen Arab Muslim students at Dearbornistan’s Edsel Ford High School. They made sweatshirts glorifying the 9/11 attacks, depicting the twin towers with a plane about to fly into it. “Religion of Peace,” indeed. It’s disgusting, but it’s the way of life in Dearbornistan and–soon–your neck of the woods (and, actually, already there). Watch the video. In case you are curious, “LOUI” is an Arabic name and surname.

About 15 Arab-American students at Edsel Ford High School are in trouble over a sweatshirt they had made over the holiday break. On the back of the sweatshirt, the number 11 is made to look like the World Trade Center Towers. The school’s mascot, a thunderbird, is seen flying toward the number.

Under the graphic, a tagline reads, “You can’t bring us down.” The students wore the hooded sweatshirts to school Monday.

The “you can’t bring us down” part is not referring to America or the towers, but to their fellow Arab Muslims who flew the planes on 9/11. They clearly meant to make a statement after the Flight 253 attack that happened in their backyard while they were on winter break.

2 Kings 6:9

The iron did swim.

The axe-head seemed hopelessly lost, and as it was borrowed, the honour of the prophetic band was likely to be imperilled, and so the name of their God to be compromised. Contrary to all expectation, the iron was made to mount from the depth of the stream and to swim; for things impossible with man are possible with God.

I knew a man in Christ but a few years ago who was called to undertake a work far exceeding his strength. It appeared so difficult as to involve absurdity in the bare idea of attempting it. Yet he was called thereto, and his faith rose with the occasion; God honoured his faith, unlooked-for aid was sent, and the iron did swim. Another of the Lord's family was in grievous financial straits, he was able to meet all claims, and much more if he could have realized a certain portion of his estate, but he was overtaken with a sudden pressure; he sought for friends in vain, but faith led him to the unfailing Helper, and lo, the trouble was averted, his footsteps were enlarged, and the iron did swim. A third had a sorrowful case of depravity to deal with. He had taught, reproved, warned, invited, and interceded, but all in vain. Old Adam was too strong for young Melancthon, the stubborn spirit would not relent. Then came an agony of prayer, and before long a blessed answer was sent from heaven. The hard heart was broken, the iron did swim.

Beloved reader, what is thy desperate case? What heavy matter hast thou in hand this evening? Bring it hither. The God of the prophets lives, and lives to help his saints. He will not suffer thee to lack any good thing. Believe thou in the Lord of hosts! Approach him pleading the name of Jesus, and the iron shall swim; thou too shalt see the finger of God working marvels for his people. According to thy faith be it unto thee, and yet again the iron shall swim.

Israpundit

Diane Sawyer on ABC News,1/15/10, was for the 2nd day visibly and verbally upset that so much food, water, etc. was still at the airport and not distributed to the very many in desperate need and could be dead very shortly without it.

Then one U.S. Commander interviewed, said they needed the Haitian government to designate distribution centers, then to be approved by the U.N., while 10,000 U.S. troops are on the way by Sunday to help in distribution.

Has the U.S. government/military.. lost its mind altogether?

If the Haitian government, which barely exists after this tragedy, wasn't there for the people before the earthquake, why is anyone waiting for this government to act now?

If the U.N., which has done nothing to stop the genocide in Darfur with 500,000 Blacks murdered by the Muslim Jihadists there, why in the world is the U.N. in charge of this operation and tonight on CNN with Anderson Cooper showing that only Dr. Groupa of CNN, is left in a hospital with 25 wounded patients and the UN has asked the rest of the doctors to leave, and then to see the aerial views of hundreds, perhaps thousands of bodies lying on just one of the streets, does anyone get what is going on here?

By following the supposed 'plan', whatever that insanity is all about, the food and water sits at the airport, and men, women and childen are dying like flies.

A 'distribution' sight? How about every spot where hundreds and thousands are outside of hospitals, in parks and in the streets afraid to go back into their homes, and get the food and water to these people before they dehydrate and die.

Oh first we have to deal with all the 'politics'?

Let's see, now that the U.S. controls the airport, and not the U.N., then we'll be seen as 'occupying' Haiti, while others see this as a pretext to naming Haiti our 51st State.

Then there is the big hoopla from Obama that we'll do everything possible and in committing the troops and $100millions, for his reviews, which won't matter if no one is ready to implement giving water and food to the dying. So much for this phony 'messiah', while Rush Limbaugh is obsessed on whether Obama will look good in all of this and his ratings rise and then advising everyone not to give to the Haitian people in crisis.

I could wretch on both of them.

If Limbaugh had a heart, he'd be pushing to feed the starving and put the politics aside until we got through this level of the crisis. This idiot has lost me completely with his cruelty.

Now with 200,000 being reported dead, up from the Red Cross's assessment yesterday of 45,000, and this figure could drastically climb by this weekend, we are witnessing Obama's 'Katrina' of utter stupidity of going by 'the book',whatever that is, instead of stepping outside of the box and actually making a difference.

How about just handing the water and food to everyone in need? Is this so hard to do? How about taking care of everyone that needs the help? At what point do you need permission to be a human being and help another human being, especially when you can?

My angst isn't just towards how this tragedy in Haiti is being treated, which is an updated and still stupid approach to disasters like this, or Hurricanes Katrina or Andrew in Miami, or '9/11' and the Christmas Day bomber attempt on the plane, or Ft. Hood, or, or, or, or, or, or.

This is how governments operate or don't and they don't... beyond the stunts and media ploys and everyone covering their own butts, so as not to do anything that they will have to be accountable for, while the rest of us are expendible. Do you understand this? We are all expendible to those supposedly in charge.

Thank G-d for independent thinking and action from volunteers.

With all the 'chatter' now from Yemen and another potential Muslim Jihadist attack on the U.S. at this very time period, you can see in Haiti the insipid approach that would happen here as well.

Can't anyone make a decision that matters, when government bureaucrats are in charge?

If 3 millions are affected by the Earthquake in Haiti, do we not understand that without food or water for 5 days what is pending?

Then I'm watching Sean Hannity tonight talking about the 'political earthquake', should the Republican beat the Democrat next Tues. for former Sen. Kennedy's seat?

"Earthquake" Hannity? With hundreds of thousands dead in our back yard? This is your level of consciousness to exploit using this word, on going after Obama?

My kishkas are in an uproar.

How do you play 'safe' with masses of people dying?

How do you exploit for politics, the horrors people are facing?

I plead and plead to network with people of like mind who do understand and who do feel for the sufferings of others.
If your loved ones were in such a crisis would any of this be acceptable to you?

It is the reason I do what I do and thank G-d have both the strength and energy to be like this.

Appeasing those who want to kill us and then neglecting those in need after the damage has been done, is one more example of what we are witnessing daily in our approach in Haiti. It doesn't matter if the catatrophe is man-made through terrorism or by an act of G-d.

Obama, stop telling us it will get worse before it gets better, when it is already at desperate levels and your incompetence in this, is accelerating the death toll and ongoing threats to all of us.

All the jerks you, Obama, have put into key positions for political purposes, who haven't a clue on what to do except to precipitate this appeasement agenda is such a disgrace and how could we expect anything other than what is going on with all of these horrors?

Today, after 8 yrs. of illegal Haitians in Miami and U.S. by the tens of thousands, will now be allowed to stay and get green cards etc.

This still isn't feeding one Haitian baby starving to death or dehydrated by lack of water. Shame on you Obama and those you appointed who don't know what to do either for any tragedy or even how to prevent future ones.

Having gone through Hurricane Andrew in 1992, I know what it is like with 80,000 buildings destroyed and they, only admitting to 50 dead, but there were many more.

We on Miami Beach were 17 miles from 'Ground Zero' and every house on our block had no electricity for 11 days, all foods were spoiled, every roof had to be replaced if you could find quality repair people, not out to steal from you or legitimate insurance agencies not trying to screw you and in every level of survival running into obstacles for getting food, water, gas, repairs, cleanup and a host of basics, let alone damage to property and the emotional damage in all of it.

Haiti we do understand and why we need to help. It took 10 years for us to recover. Every Hurricane season we're glued to the weather channel in hopes of not going through it again and Haiti went through 3 hurricanes recently before this earthquake. Then Haiti with so many of its trees destroyed. Then Papa Doc, Baby Doc, Aristedes and even today, where are the Haitian leaders in Miami speaking out, for they are in two political camps like the Dems. and GOP, and neither are for the people, when it is all about them and not us.

No matter. We MUST help those who need this emergency help.
The American people have always come to the rescue of those in need all over the world and we'll do it again and again for that is who we really are and we don't need to apologize for it either.

As a Jew, that is who I am too. That is my conscience. That is my faith. That is my reason for being. That is my history of being a Jew for 5000 years. Nothing to apologize for here either. My Covenant with G-d, My Torah and My Constitution and my heart are my guides in all of this as well as knowing so many on this level as well. Thank G-d!

Obama To Walk Across The Water And Heal Haiti

'U.S. takes control of Haiti
we are the only ones who can get things done'

Stewart Stogel
© 2010 WorldNetDaily

UNITED NATIONS – Informed U.S. State Department sources tell WND that Washington has taken de-facto control of earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

"USAID has now taken control [of Haiti]," said one source. "We [the U.S.] are the only ones who can get things done."

Vice President Joe Biden told reporters at Homestead Air Force Base, Fla., where relief
efforts are underway, that Haiti is a nation "that has totally collapsed."

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was the first White House cabinet member to arrive on the scene. She made a brief tour of the Port au Prince region on Saturday.

U.N. relief efforts, however, have been criticized as "disorganized" and "haphazard" by U.S. sources.

The U.N.'s Haiti operations center was destroyed in last week's quake. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's special representative, Hedi Annabi, who remained "missing" more than four days later, was found dead Saturday. Annabi was believed to be in the complex at the time of the quake.

In a statement released Saturday evening, Ban called Annabi the "gold standard" of international civil servants.

UNICEF, which operated separately from the U.N. system, saw its headquarters survive, but was also severely impacted because many of its personnel were in the field at the time of the quake. A substantial number of those still remain unaccounted for.

U.S. sources confirm to WND that Haitian relief efforts could easily surpass $1 billion in the next few months, much of that aid being financed by Washington.

The U.N. has already announced a $550 million international emergency fundraising drive.

Not only could the rescue and rebuilding efforts reach billions of dollars, but they could also take years to accomplish.

U.S. sources point out that even today, more than four years later, New Orleans is still rebuilding from Hurricane Katrina.

Meanwhile, in a hasty publicity move, Ban Ki-moon will fly this weekend for a brief one-day "tour" of Haiti.

It is not clear what Ban can do. U.N. sources tell WND that Ban will not venture beyond a few miles from Port au Prince airport.

He has no intention of trying to reach the city of Jacmel, which sources say is in worse shape than Port au Prince.

Ban's special Haitian envoy, Bill Clinton, elected not to accompany the U.N. chief to Port au Prince. Speculation says that Hillary did not want to be "upstaged" by the former president.

Meanwhile, U.N. sources admit that part of the problem that now exists in Haiti squarely falls on the United Nations and the international community.

Virtually nothing of substance has been done to build a credible infrastructure in Haiti since the military government of Gen. Raul Cedras was overthrown by the Clinton administration military invasion in 1994.

More than 20,000 U.S. troops participated in the 1994 naval and air campaign.

The U.S. forced Cedras to flee the country, but since, Haiti has seen its "elected" governments vacillate between Jean Betrand Aristide and his political nemesis Rene Preval, resulting in a near political paralysis.

Preval saw his presidential palace collapse last week, fled to the Port au Prince airport (where he now resides) and has only made some carefully orchestrated "trips" into the city.

Preval, it was pointed out by U.S. officials, is president of a government that does not exist.

Coincidentally, CNN showed video on Friday of a collapsed and deserted Haitian parliament building.

Of more immediate concern is the expected influx of Haitian refugees into the U.S.

"Months and years" of continuous U.S. aid to Haiti was mentioned by President Barack Obama at the White House on Saturday. Obama announced that former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will lead U.S. fundraising efforts to aid displaced Haitians. For President Bush, it was his first return to the White House since leaving office a year ago.

"They [Bush and Clinton] will send an unmistakable message to the Haitian people," Obama explained.

"We are in it for the long haul," Biden added. "It is going to take years."

The Modern-Day Plantation

Democrats run the Capitol like a plantation.

The new book "Game Change" by journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin has Washington buzzing. The book revealed some comments made by prominent Democrats that they probably wish had stayed in the smoke-filled room. The one receiving most attention is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's remark that Barack Obama would succeed as a presidential candidate because he is "light-skinned" and speaks "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

Reactions on the Left were all too predictable: Reid groveled before Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, and Democrats circled the wagons. It almost goes without saying that, were a Republican to have said the same thing, he would have been run out of town on a rail. But Republicans didn't have to say anything before Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, thundered, "Senator Reid's record provides a stark contrast to actions of Republicans to block legislation that would benefit poor and minority communities -- most recently reflected in Republican opposition to the health bill now under consideration." Reid also last month called opponents of health care racists in the vein of those who resisted civil rights legislation in the 1960s (i.e., Democrats).

More interesting, though, is that conservatives disagree on how to handle the revelation. RNC Chairman Michael Steele, who is black, called for Reid to resign his leadership post because that's what Sen. Trent Lott did in a similar situation in 2002. Steele is an attack dog; it's his job to say this. But what would Republicans gain by collecting Reid's scalp? Probably not much. Given his dismal poll numbers, Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund doesn't believe Reid will even run for re-election, much less win it, so the GOP may pick up his seat anyway.

National Review's Jonah Goldberg took issue with Steele's premise as well, writing, "[B]y demanding Reid's resignation, Steele is making an idiotic, nasty and entirely cynical game bipartisan. Yes, there's a double standard, but the point is that the standard used against conservatives is unfair, not that that unfair standard should be used against Democrats as well."

Thanks to Democrats, racism has been so broadly defined that practically anything Republicans do or say can be construed as such. As long as that doesn't change, the double standard will remain in effect.

Beyond the political chess match, however, the core of the matter is that Reid's observation isn't necessarily racist. He was partly correct, too. Besides the fact that no Republican was going to win the White House last year, Obama's race helped him.

As Martin Luther King Jr. once put it, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Democrats still have that reversed: "I have a dream that my children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the content of their character but by the color of their skin." What's truly racist is that Democrats demand absolute allegiance and ideological purity from blacks, in effect keeping their prized constituency on the modern-day plantation.

GEEZER PRIDE

From an old Geezer.

I'm passing this on as I did not want to be the only geezer receiving it.

Actually, it's not a bad thing to be called as you will see....

'Geezers' are easy to spot: At sporting events, during the playing of the ‘Star Spangled Banner,’ old Geezers remove their caps and stand at attention and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them.

Old Geezers remember World War II, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Normandy, and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War 1950-55, the Cold War, the jet age and the moon landing, the 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to 2005, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing, not to mention Vietnam.

If you bump into an Old Geezer on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old Geezer on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Old Geezers trust strangers and are courtly to women. Old Geezers hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection. Old Geezers get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children, and they don't like any filth on TV or in movies or in e-mails.

Old Geezers have moral courage. They seldom brag unless it's about their grandchildren.

It's the Old Geezers who know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.

This country needs Old Geezers with their decent values.

We need them now more than ever.

Thank God for Old Geezers!

Pass this on to all the Old Geezers you know.

In God we trust

Obama's Fuzzy 'Job-Creating' Math

Ok, class... today's lesson will be on mathematics. No moans and groans from the audience, please. This is an exciting, "new" math. We'll call it Obama's Fuzzy Math or OFM.

OFM is quite fascinating. In most math problems if you subtract from a number, the result is a smaller number. But not with OFM. Using Obama's system, as more people lose their jobs -- hundreds of thousands every month -- the number of jobs created or saved (whatever that means) has actually gone up. It's the new subtraction. But, of course, it doesn't add up.

In December, 85,000 jobs were lost, and the unemployment rate remained at 10 percent. Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) summed up the situation perfectly by saying, "Democrats continue to advance a liberal agenda that is doing more harm than good. The policies of higher taxes, runaway spending, record debt and government takeovers, are having a chilling effect on jobs creators across the country."

Obama's policies certainly have had a chilling effect on job creators, but let's take a look at how Obama sees things using our new technique of Obama's Fuzzy Math.

As noted in an AP story on GOPUSA, "The White House has abandoned its controversial method of counting jobs under President Barack Obama's economic stimulus, making it impossible to track the number of jobs saved or created with the $787 billion in recovery money."

The Obama administration was first claiming that 640,000 were created or saved from the economic stimulus plan. "But more errors were found, with tens of thousands of problems documented in corrected counts, from the substantive to the clerical."

So... what does Obama do? He scraps his plan and comes up with a new method for accounting that's even fuzzier. As noted by the AP, "The Obama administration now is making it easier to give the stimulus credit for hiring. It's no longer about counting a job as saved or created; now it's a matter of counting jobs funded by the stimulus."

Is Obama serious? The AP, which is not known for it's unbiased reporting, even notes that "any stimulus money used to cover payroll will be included in the jobs credited to the program, including pay raises for existing employees and pay for people who never were in jeopardy of losing their positions."

So, guess what Obama's new claim is? The 640,000 number is out. The 2 million number is in. Wow! Now that's quite a change. And, yes... with a straight face, White House officials are now saying that the economic stimulus plan has created or saved up to 2 million jobs.

In another AP story on GOPUSA, Obama is all smiles because of a report produced by his own economic council that states "the annual growth rate last year would have been roughly 2 percentage points lower, and there would have been 1.5 million to 2 million fewer jobs" without the stimulus.

Of course, it's impossible to prove what would have, should have, or could have happened if something was not done, but that doesn't stop Obama for taking credit for it.

And now Obama wants another stimulus bill... more money out of all our pockets to fund jobs that HE thinks should be funded. Doesn't it make sense that jobs will be created when American companies are ready to hire? Creating a job through the government when the economy won't support it on its own makes no sense. The only reason that job exists is because the government says it must exist and taxpayers are paying the salary.

Obama's Fuzzy Math is more than just fuzzy. It's a clear attempt to rally public opinion for a set of policies that take power away from the American people, put more power in the hands of government, and drive the country further into massive debt. That kind of math just doesn't add up. SOURCE: >>>>>

2 Cor. 9:15

"Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift."

The Atonement itself precludes all idea of human merit, and, from its very nature, proclaims that it is free. Consider the grandeur of the Atonement- contemplate its costliness: incarnate Deity- perfect obedience- spotless purity- unparalleled grace and love- acute and mysterious sufferings- wondrous death, resurrection, ascension, and intercession of the Savior, all conspire to constitute it the most august sacrifice that could possibly be offered. And shall there be anything in the sinner to merit this sacrifice? Shall God so lower its dignity, underrate its value, and dishonor Himself, as to 'barter' it to the sinner? And if God were so disposed, what is there in the sinner that could purchase it? Where is the equivalent, where the price? "Alas!" is the exclamation of a convinced soul, "I am a spiritual bankrupt; I lost everything in my first parent who fell; I came into the world poor and helpless; and to the sin of my nature I have added actual transgression of the most aggravated character. I have nothing to recommend me to the favor of God; I have no claim upon His mercy; I have no price with which to purchase it; and if redemption is not free, without money and without price, I am undone." The very costliness, then, of the Atonement puts it beyond all price, and stamps it with infinite freeness.

If By 'Transparent' You Mean 'Secret'...

Or did you realy mean by 'Transparent' You Meant 'Not let the public know untill we can get this bill grammed down their throat's'?

After much bribery and arm-twisting, the Senate managed just before Christmas to pass its version of ObamaCare by a 60-39 vote (amazingly, without a single GOP "aye"). Now, the bill heads for conference deliberation televised by C-SPAN, just as the cable channel offered and Barack Obama promised numerous times.

Or not.

Democrats let slip this week that there would be no typical conference committee on the competing House and Senate versions of the health bill, as "leaders" opted instead for private negotiations with "key" congressmen and senators, none of whom is Republican. Once an agreement is reached, each legislative chamber will vote again and send the unified bill to the president.

Without a conference committee, a rule requiring public access to the conference report for at least 48 hours before a vote would conveniently not apply. That means even more liberty-stealing treachery can be slipped into the bill with little notice. Funny how the "public option" doesn't mean that the public gets to know what's in the bill.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) nevertheless had the gall to declare, "There has never been a more open process for any legislation in anyone who's served here's experience." In response, Wall Street Journal columnist James Taranto mocked, "Has a more false or awkwardly worded statement ever come out of anyone who has served as speaker of the House's mouth?"

In spite of Democrats' best efforts at "transparency," there are many extra-special things that we actually do know about the bill. For example, on page 1,020, the Senate bill states: "It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection." In other words, the bill creates an eternal law by prohibiting future elected Congresses from making changes to this subsection.

What's in the subsection in question? The infamous "death panel" -- the Independent Medicare Advisory Board (IMAB), whose objective will be to "reduce the per capita rate of growth in Medicare spending" (read: to ration health care).

Meanwhile, the bill contains what amounts to a marriage penalty worth $2,000 or more in insurance premiums each year. The Wall Street Journal explains, "The disparity comes about in part because subsidies for purchasing health insurance under the plan from congressional Democrats are pegged to federal poverty guidelines. That has the effect of limiting subsidies for married couples with a combined income, compared to if the individuals are single."

Finally, Obama signaled this week that he's willing to break another campaign promise: The "no tax increases on the middle class" pledge. He threw his support behind the Senate's tax on higher end "Cadillac" insurance plans, something unions and House Democrats oppose.

The more the public learns about this continuing saga, the more vigorously opposed they become to "reform." No wonder Democrats want the process to remain secret.

The BIG Lies

"We will have a public, uh, process for forming this plan. It'll be televised on C-SPAN.... It will be transparent and accountable to the American people." --Barack Obama

"That's what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are, because part of what we have to do is enlist the American people in this process." --Barack Obama

"[T]hese negotiations will be on C-SPAN..." --Barack Obama

"We're gonna do all these negotiations on C-SPAN so the American people will be able to watch these negotiations." --Barack Obama

"All this will be done on C-SPAN in front of the public." --Barack Obama

"I want the negotiations to be taking place on C-SPAN." --Barack Obama

"[W]e'll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who is, who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies." --Barack Obama

"We will work on this process publicly. It'll be on C-SPAN. It will be streaming over the Net." --Barack Obama

Song Of Solomom 1:4

We will be glad and rejoice in thee.

We will be glad and rejoice in thee. We will not open the gates of the year to the dolorous notes of the sackbut, but to the sweet strains of the harp of joy, and the high sounding cymbals of gladness. O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise unto the rock of our salvation. We, the called and faithful and chosen, we will drive away our griefs, and set up our banners of confidence in the name of God.

Let others lament over their troubles, we who have the sweetening tree to cast into Marah's bitter pool, with joy will magnify the Lord. Eternal Spirit, our effectual Comforter, we who are the temples in which thou dwellest, will never cease from adoring and blessing the name of Jesus. We will, we are resolved about it, Jesus must have the crown of our heart's delight; we will not dishonour our Bridegroom by mourning in his presence. We are ordained to be the minstrels of the skies, let us rehearse our everlasting anthem before we sing it in the halls of the New Jerusalem.

We will be glad and rejoice: two words with one sense, double joy, blessedness upon blessedness. Need there be any limit to our rejoicing in the Lord even now? Do not men of grace find their Lord to be camphire and spikenard, calamus and cinnamon even now, and what better fragrance have they in heaven itself? We will be glad and rejoice in Thee. That last word is the meat in the dish, the kernel of the nut, the soul of the text. What heavens are laid up in Jesus! What rivers of infinite bliss have their source, aye, and every drop of their fulness in him!

Since, O sweet Lord Jesus, thou art the present portion of thy people, favour us this year with such a sense of thy preciousness, that from its first to its last day we may be glad and rejoice in thee. Let January open with joy in the Lord, and December close with gladness in Jesus.

AP: Redskins will fire Jim Zorn on Monday

The Washington Redskins plan to fire coach Jim Zorn on Monday, an official within the NFL told The Associated Press.

The Redskins planned to make the move on the day after the end of a disappointing regular season. Washington struggled early despite a weak schedule and was 4-11 going into Sunday's finale against the San Diego Chargers.

The official spoke to the AP on Sunday on condition of anonymity because no formal announcement has been made.

Zorn's dismissal has been expected for months. The front office stripped him of his play-calling duties in late October, and owner Dan Snyder has interviewed assistant coach Jerry Gray for the job, according to the Fritz Pollard Alliance, which monitors minority hiring in the NFL.

Gray's interview was an effort to comply with the Rooney Rule, which requires that teams consider a minority candidate for the head coaching position. With the Rooney Rule satisfied, the Redskins are free to act quickly to hire a replacement for Zorn. Former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan is considered the favorite.

Zorn's replacement will be Washington's seventh coach since Snyder bought the team in 1999. Playing a substantial part in the decision will be Bruce Allen, who was hired as the general manager last month.

Zorn started 6-2 as a rookie head coach last season, but the team struggled over the second half and finished 8-8. This year's team has been hurt by numerous injuries, a lack of depth and tons of off-the-field distractions, but also by an inability of Zorn's West Coast offense to consistently find the end zone.

The Redskins failed to score more than 17 points in their first eight games, prompting the front office to bring longtime NFL assistant coach Sherm Lewis out of retirement as an offensive consultant and play-caller.

Zorn wasn't even on Snyder's list of candidates when Joe Gibbs retired at the end of the 2007 season. Zorn become a last-minute option when other contenders either showed no interest, dropped out or were deemed unsatisfactory. Snyder initially hired Zorn to be the offensive coordinator, then promoted him to head coach two weeks later after an extensive interview.

Zorn, who had never previously been a coordinator in the NFL, at times seemed overwhelmed by the head coaching job, but his strong start and quirky stories made him an early sensation last season. The front office soured on him in 2009, and executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato announced in October that Zorn would finish the season after a week of internal discussions on the matter. Cerrato has since resigned and was essentially replaced by Allen.

2 Samuel 5:24

When thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops
of the mulberry trees, then thou shalt bestir thyself.

The members of Christ's Church should be very prayerful, always seeking the unction of the Holy One to rest upon their hearts, that the kingdom of Christ may come, and that his will be done on earth, even as it is in heaven; but there are times when God seems especially to favour Zion, such seasons ought to be to them like the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees. We ought then to be doubly prayerful, doubly earnest, wrestling more at the throne than we have been wont to do. Action should then be prompt and vigorous. The tide is flowing--now let us pull manfully for the shore. O for Pentecostal outpourings and Pentecostal labours. Christian, in yourself there are times when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees. You have a peculiar power in prayer; the Spirit of God gives you joy and gladness; the Scripture is open to you; the promises are applied; you walk in the light of God's countenance; you have peculiar freedom and liberty in devotion, and more closeness of communion with Christ than was your wont. Now, at such joyous periods when you hear the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, is the time to bestir yourself; now is the time to get rid of any evil habit, while God the Spirit helpeth your infirmities. Spread your sail; but remember what you sometimes sing--

I can only spread the sail; Thou! Thou! must breathe the auspicious gale.

Only be sure you have the sail up. Do not miss the gale for want of preparation for it. Seek help of God, that you may be more earnest in duty when made more strong in faith; that you may be more constant in prayer when you have more liberty at the throne; that you may be more holy in your conversation whilst you live more closely with Christ.

Congress To Vote On Placing Obama On Mount Rushmore

Washington—After usurping Americans’ liberty, Congress will make a historic and unprecedented vote in placing Barack Obama on Mount Rushmore. The vote is expected to take place after Obama’s historic State of the Union address in February—where he will surely rally Americans to the cause of government run healthcare.

It appears that putting Obama on Mount Rushmore isn’t even a question. The problem lies in whom does Congress vote off the rock? The majority of Congress agrees that far too many Americans recognize George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, but many aren’t up to speed on the other two. The Congressional feeling is that this is a win/win for all Americans. Not only does a messianic POTUS deserve to be on the rock, but it will help restore faith in Congress after the nasty healthcare vote.

Afat mushstahllah, Lead Assistant Caretaker of the Mt. Rushmore National Park north parking lot, said, “Shoot, most people recognize George Washington, maybe, and Ole Abe, but the other two, nobody really even knows them. Some people guess that the one with glasses is Elvis or something. But there’s no doubt in my mind that everyone recognizes Obama.”

“I think Thomas Jefferson should go,” stated Nancy Pelosi. “Every single one of those President’s on the rock are Republicans. And Jefferson staunchly supported individual liberty. That’s passé in today’s America. We should indeed make room for the Most Glorious High Holy President Barack Obama.”

“I think Roosevelt should go,” added Harry Reid. “We don’t need a warmonger of a president on the rock. It’s just another reminder of how big a bully we are as Americans. If you ask me, we should replace both Jefferson and Roosevelt, replacing them with Franklin Roosevelt and Barack Obama. Both Jefferson and Roosevelt are a symbol of our ugliness.”

“Obama rocks,” fired Sherrie Blanks, a 19-year old Harvard freshman. “He is such a hottie, and he’s so good for our country. I totally couldn’t wait to vote for him. I say put him on the rock.”

With such legislation as government run healthcare, cap and trade, and amnesty for illegal aliens, experts agree that maybe this will truly unify a divisive country.

Proverbs 30:26

The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks.

Conscious of their own natural defencelessness, the conies resort to burrows in the rocks, and are secure from their enemies. My heart, be willing to gather a lesson from these feeble folk. Thou art as weak and as exposed to peril as the timid cony, be as wise to seek a shelter. My best security is within the munitions of an immutable Jehovah, where his unalterable promises stand like giant walls of rock. It will be well with thee, my heart, if thou canst always hide thyself in the bulwarks of his glorious attributes, all of which are guarantees of safety for those who put their trust in him. Blessed be the name of the Lord, I have so done, and have found myself like David in Adullam, safe from the cruelty of my enemy; I have not now to find out the blessedness of the man who puts his trust in the Lord, for long ago, when Satan and my sins pursued me, I fled to the cleft of the rock Christ Jesus, and in his riven side I found a delightful resting-place. My heart, run to him anew to-night, whatever thy present grief may be; Jesus feels for thee; Jesus consoles thee; Jesus will help thee. No monarch in his impregnable fortress is more secure than the cony in his rocky burrow. The master of ten thousand chariots is not one whit better protected than the little dweller in the mountain's cleft. In Jesus the weak are strong, and the defenceless safe; they could not be more strong if they were giants, or more safe if they were in heaven. Faith gives to men on earth the protection of the God of heaven. More they cannot need, and need not wish. The conies cannot build a castle, but they avail themselves of what is there already: I cannot make myself a refuge, but Jesus has provided it, his Father has given it, his Spirit has revealed it, and lo, again to-night I enter it, and am safe from every foe.

Texas Tech Alumni To Award Adam James The ‘Golden Tampon’ Award

Lubbock—During a dinner on Thursday night, December 31, 2009, the Texas Tech Alumni are having their annual awards ceremony banquet and New Year’s Eve bash. This year they’ve decided to add another category for the awards presentations. The category in question is the “Biggest Wussy Category.” The “Biggest Wussy Category” was created to determine which ballplayer should have a sex change; thereby becoming a girl.

Each category includes a vote by a committee upon the name entered into the category. In the past, some of the categories have included, “The Toughest Player,” “The Smartest Player,” and “Most Outstanding Player.” In past years, the vote has been close, but this year for the “Biggest Wussy Category,” the vote wasn’t even close. Adam James name was a unanimous vote in the wake of his whining, and in Texas Tech University’s firing of Coach Mike Leach.

“I can’t wait to award the little sniveler with the award in absentia,” said President of the Alumni Association Jerry Testes. “The boy might as well go out and get castrated, because he’s a little girl as far as I’m concerned. And we’re awarding him with a golden tampon in recognition of his whining and crying.”

“That boy is a big P” added Vice President Dick Biggs. “We should award him with a red tampon. That would probably be more appropriate. And as far as I’m concerned, his daddy was a big ole wussy at SMU. If it wasn’t for Eric Dickerson, he would’ve gone nowhere. I don’t recall Craig James ever breaking any records in the NFL. And now Texas Tech’s program is going in the toilet.”

“I’m going to have to wear this paper bag on my head for the rest of my life,” claimed an unidentified fan with a paper bag on his head. “This whole thing sucks!”

1 Samuel 7:12

Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

The word hitherto seems like a hand pointing in the direction of the past. Twenty years or seventy, and yet, hitherto the Lord hath helped! Through poverty, through wealth, through sickness, through health, at home, abroad, on the land, on the sea, in honour, in dishonour, in perplexity, in joy, in trial, in triumph, in prayer, in temptation, hitherto hath the Lord helped us! We delight to look down a long avenue of trees. It is delightful to gaze from end to end of the long vista, a sort of verdant temple, with its branching pillars and its arches of leaves; even so look down the long aisles of your years, at the green boughs of mercy overhead, and the strong pillars of lovingkindness and faithfulness which bear up your joys. Are there no birds in yonder branches singing? Surely there must be many, and they all sing of mercy received hitherto.

But the word also points forward. For when a man gets up to a certain mark and writes hitherto, he is not yet at the end, there is still a distance to be traversed. More trials, more joys; more temptations, more triumphs; more prayers, more answers; more toils, more strength; more fights, more victories; and then come sickness, old age, disease, death. Is it over now? No! there is more yet-awakening in Jesus' likeness, thrones, harps, songs, psalms, white raiment, the face of Jesus, the society of saints, the glory of God, the fulness of eternity, the infinity of bliss. O be of good courage, believer, and with grateful confidence raise thy Ebenezer, for--

He who hath helped thee hitherto Will help thee all thy journey through.

When read in heaven's light how glorious and marvellous a prospect will thy hitherto unfold to thy grateful eye!
